Atkins has been a solid role player on a Sparks team that has plenty of offensive weapons but lacks defensive consistency. She’s been one of the bright spots on that end of the floor, averaging 1.8 steals per game while also contributing 9.7 points per contest. Even so, Los Angeles is still allowing a league-worst 91.1 points per game to opponents. With such a porous defense, the Sparks need all five starters to contribute offensively to stay competitive, and that includes Atkins. The 29-year-old has cleared 9.5 points four times this season, and against a struggling Storm squad riding a six-game losing streak, this feels like a strong spot to back her to reach double figures once again.
It’s no secret the Sun have struggled to start the 2026 season, winning just two of their first 13 games. However, there are still reasons for optimism, including the development of young talent like Lacan. The rookie from France has appeared in just four games but has already shown an impressive ability to read the floor and deliver accurate passes while contributing as a scorer. While her three-point shot hasn’t been falling — she’s shooting just 15.8% from deep — Lacan hasn’t been afraid to stay aggressive offensively and should continue to improve as she gains experience. She’s scored 10+ points in two of her four appearances and is coming off a seven-assist outing. Fifteen-plus points and assists isn’t a lock, but I’m excited to watch the young guard develop, and tonight could be another step forward in that process.
As mentioned before, the Sparks have plenty of offensive talent, with Kelsey Plum, Dearica Hamby, and Ogwumike combining to average more than 56 points per game. While Ogwumike is technically third among that trio, she’s had plenty of explosive performances this season, scoring 19+ points four times. She’s also coming off a ridiculous 20-point, 17-rebound double-double against the Fire and continues to be one of the league’s most reliable two-way players. Tonight, she faces a Storm team that has allowed the third-most points per game to opponents over its last three contests (87.0) and has struggled to put together complete performances. Given her recent form and consistent role in the offense, 15+ points feels very attainable for Ogwumike tonight.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a Same Game Parlay Extra and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together… feel free to tag along!
Ariel Atkins Over 9.5 Points (-127)
Leila Lacan 15+ Points + Assists (-195)
Nneka Ogwumike 15+ Points (-105)
