Colonial Country Club (par 70, 7,289 yards, bentgrass greens) in Fort Worth, Texas, has been the home of the Charles Schwab Challenge since its inception in 1946. Ben Griffin (-12) is the defending champion and for this week, there will be 133 golfers competing and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the Charles Schwab Challenge on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Gary Woodland for a top-20 finish including ties (+194)

Woodland loves teeing it up in the Lone Star State. The 42-year-old just secured his fifth PGA TOUR victory at the Houston Open in March and he did so by six shots. Woodland’s resume at Colonial also isn’t too shabby, making 5-of-6 cuts and finishing T-14 or better three times, including a T-11 last season. Woodland ranks third among this field in strokes gained per round at Texas courses and he has finished inside the top-20 in four of his last seven starts entering this week.

Woodland ranks third in SG APP when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds and the elite ball-striker should rebound with a top-20 finish this week after missing the cut at the PGA Championship his last time out. At Colonial, four of the last five winners have finished the event top-12 in SG APP.

John Keefer for a top-30 finish (+245)

Keefer has made four straight solo cuts and at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson this past week, he finished T-9 at the Texas-based TPC Craig Ranch. The Baylor graduate gained strokes on approach and with his putter at the par 71. In fact, Keefer ranked fifth in SG APP for the event and in the final round, the 25-year-old was outstanding, carding a career-low 8-under 63.

This isn’t the first time Keefer has shined in Texas, either, as he finished T-3 at the Houston Open in March, which is his best PGA TOUR finish to date. Ranking second among this field in strokes gained per round at Texas courses, Keefer has a real knack for thriving in the Lone Star State and he should produce a quality finish in his first attempt at Colonial this week.
