We are officially halfway through Rick and Morty Season 9, which has been about as raunchy and whacky as ever. While Adult Swim has seen other fan favorites like Smiling Friends come and go in recent years, Rick and Morty is about as dependable as it gets for adult animated shows.

When does Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 6 come out?

Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 6 will premiere on Adult Swim at 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 28. The episode, which is titled Erickerhead, will have a runtime around 22 minutes. It will be available to stream on HBO Max and Hulu, but not until Monday, July 20. Episodes are hitting streaming on a three-week delay, so Episode 3 will be the one arriving on HBO Max and Hulu on Monday, June 29.

As was the case with the past seven seasons, Season 9 will be 10 episodes long. It will run through the finale on Sunday, July 26.

Who will show up this episode?

Rick and Morty has had a pretty stable cast over the years, barring Adult Swim cutting ties with co-creator and lead voice actor Justin Roiland in 2023. The two titular roles are now filled by separate people, as they were in Seasons 7 and 8. Here is a look at the recurring cast, as well as who they are playing:

David’s President Curtis has his own spinoff show premiering in July, though, so he may not show up in the mainline series this season. Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Keegan-Michael Key, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson and Ty Burrell are among the many celebrities who have cameoed this season, but their appearances were likely one-offs.

What to expect in Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 6

The first five episodes of Rick and Morty Season 9 have been pretty standard fare, from Rick’s self-sabotage and his inability to connect to Morty to Jerry being largely inept. There have been a few more call-backs to past lore, including Evil Morty’s appearance in the season premiere and Snowball’s return after 13 years in Episode 5. We haven’t gotten very many Summer or Beth-centered storylines thus far, but that could change soon.

Based on the lookahead to Season 9 Episode 6, we are going to start with Rick, Morty and Summer at some kind of intergalactic all-you-can-eat buffet. Rick eventually stumbles out and leaves with his grandkids via portal, ditching his futuristic space car on an alien planet. The episode’s synopsis is as follows:
