Check out some of the best James Harden prop bets for Cavaliers vs. Knicks Game 4 in the NBA Playoffs.
Monday night brings Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. At 8 p.m. ET, the Cleveland Cavaliers try and keep their season alive as they tiptoe the cliffside of elimination. James Harden has a particular reputation in situations like these, but will he be able to shed the narrative to power his team to a win at home tonight?
Here are the top James Harden prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s Cavaliers vs. Knicks Game 4 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Cavaliers are backed against the wall. Down three games to none, they’re on their own floor tonight in front of the hometown crowd in Cleveland but are facing a Knicks team that’s now won all three games of this series by double digits. The situation cannot get more dire than this one, especially given that no team has ever come back to win a series when facing a 3-0 deficit.
The Cavs traded for James Harden with hopes the former MVP could become another ball-dominant option who could run the offense. He did that in the regular season, averaging 20.5 points and 7.7 assists per game while also pulling down 4.8 rebounds. His shooting splits were also quite efficient in that 26-game sample with Cleveland, hitting a 46.6% FG% and a 43.5% 3P%. That’s largely gone out the window in the NBA Playoffs — he’s producing 19.6 points, 5.7 dimes and 5.2 boards, but shooting just 41.5% overall and 31.4% from deep. The narrative of his career-long playoff struggles is overblown, but there is some truth to it. Can he overcome that tonight?
On Monday, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Harden’s prop bet lines at O/U 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2.5 three pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line comes in at 30.5.
In this series, Harden is averaging just 17.3 points, 3.3 assists and 5.0 rebounds her game. His shooting splits are pretty rough as well, finishing at 41.3% overall and only 22.7% from downtown. Including one regular-season game with Cleveland and one more back when he was a Los Angeles Clipper earlier this season, the Beard is posting 19.0 points, 4.6 assists and 4.0 rebounds against New York.
If there’s any prop bet I like for Harden tonight, it’s probably the under on 30.5 combined PTS + REB + AST. He’s averaging 25.6 PRA in this series and 27.6 PRA against the Knicks overall this season, and the shooting splits are rather ugly, especially from deep. He doesn’t have the burst or deceleration ability to get downhill like he used to as a scorer, and with New York bringing an elite defense that’s held the Cavs to totals of 104, 93 and 108 points in this series, it seems unlikely that his assist tally will be high here. Under 30.5 PRA has cashed in each of the last four games of this playoff run, nine of Harden’s last 15 contests, and nine of his 17 total postseason games with Cleveland.
I hate to fade Harden here, but he simply hasn’t been himself in this playoff run.
