Alex Hunter details his top Franz Wagner player prop for Wednesday’s NBA playoff game between the Magic and the Pistons.
Following the Magic’s Game 1 upset, this first-round series between the Magic and Pistons continues with Game 2 in Detroit on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pistons are favored by 8.5 points and this game carries a total of 218.5 points.
Let’s dive into my favorite Franz Wagner player prop for Wednesday’s contest.
The Magic’s big three of Wagner, Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane are all healthy right now as the team looks to upset the Pistons in this first-round series. In the 25 games this trio has played together this season, Wagner is leading Orlando with 2.1 PPG and a 25.3% usage rate in the first three minutes.
Wagner didn’t score in the opening three minutes of Sunday’s Game 1, but this is the only time in his eight starts since returning from an ankle injury last month that Wagner hasn’t scored at least two points in the first three minutes. Plus, this is the only time in three matchups with the Pistons this season that Wagner hasn’t scored at least two points in the first three minutes.
Wagner is averaging 20.7 PPG vs. Detroit this season and these -108 odds don’t reflect the likelihood of him cashing this early game prop.
