Sean Barnard details his top Draymond Green player prop on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s Play-In between the Clippers and Warriors.
In the second NBA play-in tournament matchup of the night, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors will challenge the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome. These two teams sit in the ninth and 10th seeds in the Western Conference, and the winner of this game will challenge the Phoenix Suns for the right to face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder — while the loser will see its season officially end.
The Los Angeles Clippers enter as 5.5-point home favorites with -218 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Warriors hold +180 odds of pulling off the upset, with the game total set at 220.5.
Let’s dive into my favorite Draymond Green player prop for Wednesday’s contest.
It has not been the most memorable season for Draymond Green, but he and the Warriors will look for a spark to keep their postseason hopes alive. It certainly helps that Stephen Curry returned to the floor toward the end of the regular season and will be available for this play-in matchup. Green is one of the biggest beneficiaries of this change, with his play style so compatible with the two-time MVP.
Green averaged 8.3 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.6 rebounds across 39 games with Curry this season. The pair have effortless chemistry from their dynasty years. Expect Golden State to lean on Green’s playmaking, and for plenty of dribble handoffs and off-ball movement from Curry to be a central part of the attack. Green tallied a season-high 12 assists during one of the Dubs’ regular-season matchups against the Clippers in January.
The Warriors have experimented with several front-court rotations, but Green logged a career-high 43% of his minutes at center this season. He will likely be asked to lead the rebounding effort — a recipe for success against the Clippers, who rank 29th in rebounds per game. LA’s rebounding outlook has diminished significantly without Ivica Zubac, and Green should be the first one to capitalize.
Green’s roles as both a playmaker and rebounder make him a strong candidate to record at least 12 combined rebounds and assists. While the Warriors’ dynasty has come to an end, they should lean on what once brought them to the top of the NBA mountain. Expect the aging star to leave it all on the floor and clear his modest rebounds-plus-assists line in a strong effort to preserve Golden State’s postseason hopes.
