(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+217): Schwarber leads the MLB with 25 homers, and the public is backing him to connect on another Schwar-bomb on Saturday night as the Phillies host Freddy Peralta and the Mets after getting Friday off in the middle of the series to avoid World Cup scheduling conflicts. Schwarber has four homers in his last 20 games, with a 52.4% hard-hit rate. He has hit 15 of his homers at home at Citizens Bank Park and 17 of his 25 homers against righties, putting him on the strong side of both those splits on Saturday night. He has gone 3-for-15 against Peralta in their past matchups, and two of those hits have been home runs.
Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+281): Alvarez is second in the majors with 24 homers, and he’s also getting lots of attention in his home game on Saturday night. The Astros are hosting the Guardians, and he’ll be matched up against lefty Joey Cantillo. Alvarez hasn’t homered since last Friday, when he hit a pair of homers in the first inning against the Royals. He is still mashing the ball, though, with three barrels in his six games since then. For the season, he has an 18.4% barrel rate and 53.4% hard-hit rate. He has hit a blistering .355 in his home games with 11 of his 24 homers and a .419 home wOBA. Cantillo has allowed 11 homers in 15 starts, including eight in his eight road starts, where he has a 5.17 ERA.
Byron Buxton 1+ Home Run (+264): The public is in on all three of the top three home run leaders in the majors, adding Buxton to the mix in his late game against the Dbacks. Buxton trails only Schwarber and Alvarez with 23 homers on the season and is on pace to smash his personal best of 35 homers from last year. The 32-year-old righty has hit 10 of his 23 homers in his last 26 games while hitting .304 with a .353 ISO and .436 wOBA. He has a 51.4% hard-hit rate and 16.7% barrel rate over that span, and he should be in a good spot to keep producing hard hits as he faces Zac Gallen in Arizona. Gallen has allowed 13 homers in his 15 starts this year, and righties like Buxton have a .200 ISO, 40.8% hard-hit rate and 9.2% barrel rate against him on the year.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
