Despite there being a significant gap in the table between these teams, one is ascending, while the other is in freefall. Despite the gap in terms of places in the table, only nine points separate these two teams. It just goes to show how tight things are in the middle of the Premier League table. Chelsea were in a title race early on in the season, while Nottingham Forest have been in a relegation battle for the entire campaign. A Forest win in this one would mean the gap between the sides would be reduced to only six points.
