Alex Hunter details his top Josh Hart player prop for Thursday’s Game 2 between the Knicks and the Cavaliers.
The Knicks are hosting the Cavaliers for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday. Fresh off an epic Game 1 comeback, New York enters as a 5.5-point favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the game total set at 215.5 points.
Let’s dive into my favorite Josh Hart player prop for Thursday’s contest.
Hart has really struggled with his outside shot during these playoffs. The wing is averaging just 1.1 made treys per game at a paltry 26% clip. Hart has only hit multiple three-pointers in two of 11 postseason contests.
Hart was 1-of-5 from beyond the arc in Game 1 against the Cavaliers. The veteran only logged 31 minutes and got benched for the final 15 minutes of the game, as the Knicks’ coaching staff favored Landry Shamet in crunch time. Hart finished with a team-worst -23 in the box score in the comeback victory.
Hart appears to be on a short leash right now, and this matchup isn’t ideal either. The Cavaliers rank just eighth in defensive rating this postseason, but they have given up the fourth-fewest made triples per contest (11.1). Hart failing to hit multiple three-pointers in Game 2 is a strong possibility and an appealing bet at plus money.
