Major League Baseball begins Rivalry Weekend with 12 games on the main slate this Friday, featuring regional rivalries and some fun matchups across the board. The schedule also sets up especially well for offense with some great environments and matchups to consider for today’s MLB DFS stacks. With 24 lineups taking the field, several stand out as excellent places to focus on when searching for fantasy baseball production

.Before we get to the individual selections for these contests, let’s define exactly what we’re searching for. An ideal target for MLB DFS stacks is a team well-positioned to score plenty of runs based on its matchup and ballpark. “Stacking” is the strategy of adding multiple players from the same MLB lineup to your roster to boost each other’s production.

Ideally, MLB DFS stacks focus on players who are either back-to-back or from the same part of the lineup to allow positive correlation. Since most run-scoring plays produce fantasy points for multiple players, stacking a high-scoring team can carry your entry to the top of the leaderboard. The key to MLB DFS stacks paying off is finding the perfect matchup to attack, so let’s take a look at the top spots.

1. Arizona Diamondbacks

Corbin Carroll ($6,200)
Ketel Marte ($5,700)
Ildemaro Vargas ($5,200)
Jose Fernandez ($4,500)
Nolan Arenado ($4,000)
Ryan Waldschmidt ($3,400)

The Diamondbacks are taking on their regional and division rivals in Colorado this weekend, getting a great spot for offense at Coors Field on Friday night against Kyle Freeland ($5,800). Freeland is 1-4 in his six starts with a 6.00 ERA and 5.48 FIP. He has a 41.7% hard-hit rate against him on the year and has given up seven runs on three homers in 10 2/3 innings in Denver. He hasn’t faced the Diamondbacks since 2024, when he gave up 14 runs in 7 1/3 innings against them.

Marte is 17-for-48 (.354) in his extended history against Freeland with five doubles, a triple and three home runs. Arenado has also had success, going 5-for-10 with a double and Corbin Carroll is 3-for-9 with a homer even though it’s a lefty-lefty matchup.

Carroll has averaged 9.3 FPTS over his last seven games, with 7+ FPTS in five of those contests. Marte had 10 FPTS on Wednesday with two hits and a walk, and Vargas has actually been the most productive D-Back bat this season, hitting .331 and averaging 9.3 FPTS per game on the season with 7+ FPTS in four of his last five.

If you want a cheap way to round out the stack, Waldschmidt has intriguing upside. The 23-year-old rookie has at least 5 FPTS in three of his last four games and flashed both power and speed upside in his time in Triple-A this year.

2. Athletics

The A’s host the Giants in what used to be the Battle of the Bay Area, but still makes sense with the A’s in Sacramento. While they wait for their Vegas home to be finished, they’re playing at Sutter Health Park, which is an excellent hitter’s park and sets them up well against Tyler Mahle ($7,000) in one of the final games of the day. Mahle has a 5.17 ERA and 5.03 FIP, giving up eight homers in eight starts. He has an 8.16 road ERA and 6.67 road FIP, while allowing 13 runs in 14 1/3 innings away from Oracle Park.

Righties have actually done most of the damage against Mahle, which is why I included Brent Rooker in my top home run props of the day. Rooker has averaged 7.8 FPTS over his last five games and 8.7 FPTS in his home games. He’s hitting the ball well but has had tough BABIP luck this season. Langeliers is another great righty option, and he has 12+ FPTS in three of his last five games and is averaging an impressive 14.5 FPTS over his last 10 games. If you have the salary to spend up on a catcher, he’s an elite option to consider.

Kurtz and Soderstrom always have high ceilings with their power potential. Kurtz has at least 9 FPTS in seven of his last eight games, and he had 27 FPTS and 21 FPTS in his last two games at home against the Cardinals. In his last 10 games, he’s averaging 12.7 FPTS per game. Gelof is a solid value to round out the stack from the right side and had 14 and 17 FPTS in his last two games.

3. Los Angeles Dodgers

Shohei Ohtani ($6,400)
Freddie Freeman ($4,800)
Mookie Betts ($4,400)
Will Smith ($3,900)
Hyeseong Kim ($2,900)

In another California contest, the Dodgers are down the Freeway in Anaheim to take on the Angels and Jack Kochanowicz ($6,400). Kochanowicz was very stackable against last year, but he had been much more effective in the early part of this season. He did take the loss in each of his last two starts, though, and the Blue Jays got to him for seven runs on nine hits in four innings last Saturday. He has still struggled against lefties, allowing them to hit .238 with a .306 wOBA but doing a better job keeping the ball in the ballpark, giving up just two homers in 45 1/3 innings this season after allowing 21 homers in 111 innings last year.

The Dodgers have been getting good production throughout their lineup to help compensate for some slumping stars. Ohtani will be back at the plate after only pitching on Wednesday. He had 21 FPTS in his last game at the plate and will hope that starts a run of production after a bit of a dry spell for him. Freeman has also been hot and cold this season, but has at least 7 FPTS in three of his last four games as well.

Betts homered on Wednesday for the first time since returning from the injured list and could be a nice value if he’s ready to return to form. Hyeseong Kim is a versatile value who can play either middle infield spot at under $3K and bring good speed upside. He’s hitting .274 on the season and can be a bargain way to boost the stack, especially if he hits ninth right in front of the big bats when the lineup flips.
