Julian Edlow breaks down an NBA Draft prop bet on Karim Lopez.
Lopez is an intriguing prospect in Tuesday night’s loaded 2026 NBA Draft class. The 6-foot-8 forward from Mexico provides elite athleticism and length, and has also displayed great physicality both getting to the rim, and on the defensive side of the ball. He played for the New Zealand Breakers last season, where the 19-year-old averaged about 12 points and six boards. While Lopez could still use some work as a shooter, NBA talent evaluators seem to believe the jump shot will develop, making him a very complete prospect.
Lopez has many potential landing spots in this draft, with the backend of the top-10 not out of the question. Atlanta picking at No. 8 overall would be his absolute ceiling, but the Bucks have been strongly linked to Lopez, and following the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, Milwaukee now picks at No. 10 and No. 13 overall. Lopez has also been mocked to Golden State at No. 11 and Oklahoma City at No. 12.
If we want to look at a market perspective here, DraftKings is offering a great number and price. A draft position prop on Lopez isn’t available at many shops, and those that are offering have him slotted at 14.5. DraftKings is not only offering us 15.5, but also showing plus-money to the under. Backing Lopez to go in the top-15 also gives us outs to go to Charlotte at No. 14 or Chicago at No. 15 if he slides.
I see far more landing spots for Lopez between No. 10 to No. 15 overall than I do in the late teens. Backing Lopez to go top-15 at +110 feels like a strong wager.
NBA Draft Pick: Draft Position – Karim Lopez UNDER 15.5 (+110)
