It’s going to be wet one with weather possibly impacting games in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York. As you make your MLB DFS picks today, be sure to keep a close eye on any news around weather delays.

Let’s look through the 14 teams in the player pool and pick out some top studs and values for your MLB DFS lineups on DraftKings this Wednesday. This article was written before starting lineups were announced and with all seven games still on the board.

PITCHER

Tarik Skubal, Detroit Tigers at Atlanta Braves, $10,700 — Especially for a lighter slate, Wednesday night’s starting pitcher pool features a lot of aces on the mound! Skubal leads the way if you can afford him as he games the mound against the Braves. The Tigers lost the series opener and are back to .500 after sinking to just 5-13 on the road. Skubal should help them turn that around a little bit on Wednesday night, and he always brings dominant upside. He has over 27 FPTS in three of his six starts this season, and he posted a season-high 31.9 FPTS in his last road outing against the Red Sox. The Brewers got to him a little bit in his most recent start, and he only managed 11.3 FPTS. However, he should be able to bounce back with a good outing against the lefty-heavy Braves. Skubal has a 2.72 ERA and 3.02 FIP in his first six starts while picking up 38 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings.

Value

Peter Lambert, Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles, $8,000 — After the aces on the board this Wednesday, there is a very sharp drop-off to some scary starters on the cheap end of the player pool. While Brandon Sproat ($7,000) is a decent pivot if you have to go cheaper, Lambert is an excellent value play at $8,000 if you can make him work with your salary cap and the rain doesn’t wash away this matchup in Baltimore.

Lambert was a top pitching prospect who struggled when he reached the majors for the Rockies, but the Astros seem to have rejuvenated his career after signing him on a minor league deal after a year in Japan. Lambert had a strong spring training with a 2.92 ERA but didn’t make the team. In Triple-A, he pitched in three games and posted a 1.84 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings. With multiple injuries in the rotation, the Astros promoted him to make a start against the Cardinals, and he had eight strikeouts and 13.5 FPTS while giving up four runs in five innings. He was even more impressive in his second start of the season, holding the Guardians to three hits in six shutout innings and racking up eight more strikeouts to earn 29.9 FPTS. He has a very high ceiling for a pitcher at his price this Wednesday.

INFIELD

SS Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies, $6,200 — De La Cruz smashed his 10th homer of the season on Tuesday night and went 3-for-4 with a couple of stolen bases as well to rack up 38 FPTS. De La Cruz and the Reds got a 7-2 win in the first game of the series and will face Tomoyuki Sugano ($6,800) on Wednesday night. Sugano has a 3.42 ERA, but his 4.83 FIP and a 15.5% barrel rate against him indicate his ERA is artificially low. De La Cruz is hitting .291 with a .411 wOBA and a 56.3% hard-hit rate in his best year at the plate in his career. He is still adding plenty of value on the basepaths as well, with eight stolen bases, and he can find multiple paths to produce big points for your fantasy lineups Wednesday night.

1B Nathaniel Lowe, Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies, $2,400 — Lowe has been a nice boost to the Reds’ lineup since stepping in as the primary DH against righties while Eugenio Suarez (oblique) is out. Over his five games in the last week, he is 7-for-21 (.333) with four homers and a 42.1% hard-hit rate. He homered in three straight games and then had two hits on Tuesday night, giving him an average of 17.5 FPTS over his last four games. He may not be able to stay quite that hot, but getting so much upside at under $2,500 is great value, especially in a favorable matchup against Sugano.

OUTFIELD

Oneil Cruz, Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals, $6,300 — Like Elly, Oneil Cruz can contribute big games to your fantasy teams in multiple ways. He went 2-for-5 with his ninth homer of the season on Tuesday against the Cardinals after missing Monday’s game with an illness. He’s hitting .265 with a .369 wOBA and 132 wRC+, despite a 35.4% K%. He has a 62.5% hard-hit rate and 23.6% barrel rate that rank in the top five in the majors, and he has a favorable matchup at home against Andre Pallante ($6,500), who has allowed a .342 wOBA to lefties this season. Cruz always brings a high ceiling with his elite athleticism and he’s growing into more consistency as a breakout star so far this season.

Value

Carson Benge, New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals, $2,900 — Benge has had a rough start to his rookie season with the struggling Mets, but he’s shown some signs of life since moving back out of the leadoff spot. The highly touted 23-year-old prospect struggled after an Opening Day homer and was starting to get some traction before being moved to the leadoff spot for a few days. After that experiment didn’t work, he moved back to the bottom third of the order, and he has gone 7-for-15 (.467) in his last three starts with three multi-hit games and his second career homer. Benge didn’t steal a base in those games, but he is a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts on the season. He had 12 FPTS on Tuesday with two singles, two RBIs and a run scored, and he’s starting to find a little rhythm at the plate. On Wednesday, he’ll face Cade Cavalli ($7,200) of the Nats, who has held righties to a .146 average with a .268 wOBA, but he has let lefties like Benge hit .397 with a .409 wOBA, setting up Benge on the right side of those dramatic splits Wednesday night.
