The Lynx are hosting the Sky on Sunday night. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Minnesota is favored by 4.5 points, and this game carries a total of 167.5 points.

Lynx vs. Sky Preview

Playing without one of the WNBA’s best players, Napheesa Collier (ankle), the Lynx are off to a 2-1 start this season. The club lost to the Dream by one point in the season opener, then defeated the Mercury and, most recently, the Wings this past Thursday, both of which were won by four points.

Kayla McBride, Courtney Williams, Natasha Howard and Olivia Miles have been strong in Collier’s absence, with all of these players averaging 15+ PPG. Minnesota has been solid offensively, ranking sixth in offensive rating, but the club has struggled on the other side of the ball, ranking 10th in defensive rating. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as the Lynx are not only without Collier, but Alanna Smith departed to the Wings this offseason on a three-year max deal. Smith was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year with A’ja Wilson last season, and Collier finished fifth in voting for the award.

The Lynx rank just eighth in net rating despite their 2-1 record. Coming to town tonight is the Sky, who are also 2-1 this season, but rank higher in net rating at fifth. Chicago ranks just ninth in offensive rating, but the club has been stout on defense, ranking second in defensive rating.

The Sky opened the season with wins over the Fire and the Valkyries, but then Chicago lost to the Mercury 91-83 this past Friday night. Skylar Diggins exited this game with an eye injury after just 11 minutes and is questionable to play tonight.

The seven-time All-Star has been rock solid in her first season with the Sky. Before exiting early Friday, Diggins posted 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the season opener vs. the Fire and then 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds vs. the Valkyries. Diggins ranks third for Chicago in plus/minus.

Natasha Cloud would likely start if Diggins were ruled out, but Diggins does feel likely to play, given this is an eye injury, likely wearing some form of eye protection. In the front-court, Rickea Jackson has been putting up big numbers for Chicago after the team traded for her from the Sparks this offseason, averaging a team-high 22 PPG. While very early in the season, Diggins and Jackson look to be a strong pairing for the Sky that should lead this team to a much better record this season after the club finished at the bottom of the standings in 2025.

Lynx vs. Sky Pick, Best Bet

Assuming Diggins suits up, the Sky will be in a great position to upset the Lynx. Chicago has the defensive tools to slow down the Collier-less Lynx, and Jackson and Diggins both should have their way against Minnesota’s struggling defense.

Chicago has already won twice on the road this season, and at this +180 ML price on DraftKings Sportsbook, I like backing the Sky to notch another road win.
