The PGA TOUR travels north of the border for the RBC Canadian Open at the North Course (par 70, 7,389 yards, bentgrass/POA mix greens) of TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, Ontario. This will be the second year in a row that TPC Toronto has been the site of the RBC Canadian Open and in TPC Toronto’s PGA TOUR debut a year ago, Ryan Fox (-18) defeated Sam Burns in a playoff.

Below, I have featured two of my favorite outright long shot bets to win the RBC Canadian Open on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Steven Fisk (+8600)

Fisk finished T43rd at TPC Toronto last season in his RBC Canadian Open debut and shined in the final round, recording a 5-under 65. Fisk now returns to TPC Toronto a far better player, sitting 36 spots higher in the world golf rankings with a win under his belt as well, coming out on top at the Sanderson Farms Championship last October.

Fisk looks ready to contend again soon and is worth a flier at these +8600 odds. The 29-year-old has made nine of his last 11 cuts and produced three top-20 finishes in his last five starts. In his most recent two, Fisk has looked great, finishing T19th at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and T10th at the Charles Schwab Challenge while shooting under par in all eight of his rounds.

Fisk ranks 26th in total driving this season, setting him up nicely for the long TPC Toronto. More importantly, Fisk ranks eighth in par four performance, which is a terrific news for TPC Toronto, as this venue is a traditional par 70 with 12 par fours. When Fox won at TPC Toronto last season, he finished the event fourth in par four performance.

Stephan Jaeger (+8800)

In his last start, Jaeger withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge during the second round with a back injury. Before this, the German professional had finished T18th at the PGA Championship and T9th at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in his previous two starts. Jaeger shot under par in six of these eight rounds, including a pair of 7-under 64s at TPC Craig Ranch and an opening-round 3-under 67 at the challenging Aronimink GC, which tied for the lowest score of the first round of the PGA Championship.

As you can see, Jaeger’s game was trending up before his back flared up at the Charles Schwab Challenge. While there is some risk, Jaeger has had about two weeks to recover and should be ready to go this week. Jaeger would carry much shorter odds than +8800 if the injury didn’t occur a few weeks ago, so he is a worthwhile gamble at this price.

While Jaeger didn’t compete at TPC Toronto last season, he has made two-of-three cuts at the RBC Canadian Open, including a T14 in 2014, which was his last start at this event. Since then, Jaeger has secured his first PGA TOUR win, taking home the top prize at the 2024 Houston Open, and he has moved himself up 237 spots in the world golf rankings to No. 95.
