Naoya Inoue defends his Undisputed Super Bantamweight Championship against Junto Nakatani in the Main Event of Saturday’s boxing card at the Tokyo Dome. In the co-main event, Takuma Inoue, Naoyo’s younger brother, is facing Kazuto Ioka for the WBC Bantamweight title. This event begins at 3:00 a.m. ET on May 2, airing on DAZN.

Naoya Inoue by KO/TKO/DQ (+110)

“The Monster” Naoya Inoue is back at the Tokyo Dome for the first time since May 2024. After beating David Picasso in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Inoue returns to his home country to take on Junto Nakatani in a massive showdown. Nakatani is moving up to 122 pounds for this contest as he is a former WBO Super Flyweight Champion, IBF Bantamweight Champion, and WBC Bantamweight Champion. In his last contest, Nakatani beat Sebastian Hernandez by unanimous decision.

Inoue has won two consecutive bouts by decision, which is abnormal for him, as he had 11 straight knockouts from October 2020 to May 2025. He is not only one of the premier power punches in boxing but also among the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

Even though this bout features two undefeated fighters, Inoue is still a -400 favorite, with Nakatani the underdog at +300 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Since Inoue is a big favorite, I’m taking him to win by KO/TKO/DQ at +110. That is because of his power and defensive ability, giving him the edge over Nakatani.

Takuma Inoue by Decision or Technical Decision (-135)

Takuma Inoue won the WBC Bantamweight title in his last fight against Tenshin Nasukawa in November 2025. In October 2024, he suffered his first career loss but proved he can bounce back in his last contest. His opponent, Kazuto Ioka, has a record of 32-4-1, with 17 knockouts.

In this bout, Inoue is the favorite at -310 while Ioka is a +235 underdog. Only five of Inoue’s 21 career victories have come by knockout, and seven of his last 10 wins have been by decision. Ioka has lost two of his last three fights and could struggle in this contest if he is unable to land a high volume of power punches.
