(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 25+ Points (-478): The public is taking this prop as a heavy, heavy favorite as the Thunder lean more heavily on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with Jalen Williams (hamstring) out. SGA had 25 points in 29 minutes in Game 1 despite a bit of an off night, and he roared back with 37 points in 38 minutes in Game 2. SGA averaged 31.1 points per game in his 70 regular-season games, and he had at least 25 points in 14 of his 19 games after returning from an abdominal injury at the end of February. Especially without Williams to help carry the load, Gilgeous-Alexander will be the focus of the offense and has a great chance of scoring at least 25 points for the third straight game to start his team’s playoff run.
Anthony Edwards over Nikola Jokic – Points Moneyline (+138): In the final game on the slate, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves face Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. The Wolves took a 2-1 series lead with a big Game 3 win, while Jokic uncharacteristically struggled. The great head-to-head showdown between the two superstars has its own market on DraftKings Sportsbook and boosts are available for many bettors in this head-to-head scoring prop. Edwards is getting more action early in the day than Jokic, with his moneyline coming in at plus money. Jokic won this prop in Game 1, 25-22. Edwards responded by winning in Game 2, 30-24, and in Game 3, Jokic’s 27 was better than Edwards’ 17 points, although Edwards left the game early because it was a blowout. After he only played 24 minutes in Game 3, he could be fresher than Jokic for Game 4. Ant is also absent from the injury report for the first time in this series after being listed as questionable in each of the first three games of the series before being upgraded to available.
Jalen Brunson First Points Scorer (+521): The Knicks visit the Hawks in Game 4 of their series in the third game of the four Saturday matchups. Brunson to score the first points in this matchup is one of the hottest plays on the board as a quick-hitter He has more first baskets than anyone else in this game by a wide margin. He has scored 16 first baskets this season (20.5% of his games), while no one in the rest of the 10 starters has had more than 11 (Karl-Anthony Towns). In Game 1, Mikal Bridges got the first basket, but Brunson took the first shot of the game in Game 2 but missed. In Game 3 in Atlanta, Brunson had the first basket of the game on the Knicks’ third possession of the contest. Brunson leads the team with a 30.9% usage rate, and he could be especially aggressive on Saturday as he looks to help his squad even the series at 2-2 with a big game in Atlanta.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
