It’s another pair of postseason matchups for Wednesday’s featured NBA DFS slate. To get things started, the seventh-seeded 76ers will look to bounce back vs. the red-hot Knicks. Later, the Spurs are hoping to even up their series at home against the resilient Timberwolves.

Despite some unfortunate injury news this afternoon, big names are still taking the floor. Stars such as Victor Wembanyama ($10,6000), Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,400), Jalen Brunson ($8,200) and Tyrese Maxey ($8,100) are active tonight. Still, costly price tags aren’t the only option for fantasy managers. Picking up an under the radar role player or two could make all the difference. Which bargains deserve a closer look ahead of Tuesday’s Game 1 matchups?

SF Mikal Bridges, New York Knicks vs. PHI ($4,800)

Just about everything has gone right for the Knicks over their last two games. That includes a pair of fantastic outings on both ends of the floor by Mikal Bridges. The two-way wing looked lost on offense for most of round one against Atlanta. With that being said, the eighth-year pro seems to have gotten it together. In Game 1 against Philadelphia, Bridges tallied 17 points, two rebounds and five assists, shooting 70% from the field as well (30.5 FPTS). It’s his second straight 30+ fantasy point performance while playing less than 30 minutes.

The 76ers, despite some improvement this postseason, aren’t the most lethal defense. That’s especially true on the perimeter, where they’ve allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. Over four meetings with Philadelphia this season, playoffs included, the veteran is averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists. After an impressive showing on Monday, expect the Sixers to double the defensive intensity against Brunson. If that occurs, open shots should be there for the rest of this New York starting lineup. At less than $5,000, this pick is about backing a talented player for a reasonable price.

C Andre Drummond, Philadelphia 76ers at NYK ($4,000)

As you may have heard by now, Joel Embiid (ankle) won’t be on the floor this evening. It’s a crushing blow for the 76ers, who have struggled with injury issues all season. If there’s any solace for Philly, Andre Drummond is one of the association’s better backup bigs. During the regular season, he posted 6.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 47% from the field (20.9 FPTS). Having a former All-Star off the bench is usually a luxury for head coach Nick Nurse. However, without Embiid on the floor, the Sixers will need a stellar showing from the big man.

Unlike last week against Boston, the Knicks utilize the center position frequently on offense. Karl-Anthony Towns has been a scorer and initiator on offense. Having another big body on the seven-footer is imperative for Philadelphia. It’s not as if we haven’t seen Drummond produce impressive numbers in Embiid’s absence. Look no further than a December 19th meeting with New York, in which he tallied 14 points and 13 rebounds. A newfound three-point shot (36%) has added a fun wrinkle to the 32-year-old’s skillset. Given his affordable price tag, Drummond is a low-risk, high-reward option on Wednesday night.
