The World Cup is nearly upon us, and the Selecao are ready for another campaign. Brazil’s uber-talented squad is heading into this 2026 World Cup with high hopes. As deep as any other country in attacking talent, manager Carlo Ancelotti is feeling very good about his team and their hopes of capturing the Cup. Vinicius Junior. and Raphinha, two of the world’s best attacking players, will look to lead the team. But who will be the top scorer for Brazil?
Let’s take a look at the best odds for the top goalscorer for Brazil on DraftKings Sportsbook:
No surprise, Vinicius Junior is leading the way at +250. The 25-year-old just wrapped up his fifth straight season of scoring 20+ goals in all competitions for Real Madrid, and is a yearly Ballon d’Or candidate. Raphinha is just behind him at +300, and has truly ascended at Barcelona, racking up 34 goals last season. Injuries have limited him to 32 matches this year, but he still netted 19 goals. They’re followed by a few strikers, a nod to the uncertainty at No. 9 for the Selecao; Thiago, Joao Pedro, and Richarlison are all candidates to get the top nod for Ancelotti. Neymar Jr., in the twilight of his career and on the bubble to make the team, also has interesting odds at +1000.
Vinicius led them in scoring during their last major tournament, the 2024 Copa America, with two goals. Raphinha, Savinho, and Lucas Paqueta all finished with one goal. Going back to the 2022 World Cup, it was Richarlison who led the way with a trio of goals, followed by Neymar with two. During the past couple of years of CONMEBOL World Cup qualification, Raphinha paced the team with five goals. Three tournaments, three different leaders.
Now we know the attacking threats for Brazil a bit better. But who is the best pick out of this group?
It’s very hard for me to ignore this team’s recent history. Raphinha was a monster throughout CONMEBOL, and I don’t see that changing during this tournament. He’s a special finishing talent who can take on multiple defenders and rifle one from outside the box. Even at three-to-one, he’s a value play for this team.
