We’ll see two Game 2’s tonight, tipping off at 7 PM EST with the Cavaliers visiting the Pistons while down 0-1. The Thunder will host the Lakers next at 9:30 up 1-0.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Even with a rough shooting night in Game 1, during which Cunningham scored 23 points on 6/19 shooting, he’s still in a good spot to exceed 27.5 tonight. Cunningham played 42 minutes with 11 free throw attempts. Given how heavily Detroit’s offense leans on him, Cunningham should continue seeing a heavy workload for the rest of this series.
Even if we zoom out and take a look at Cunningham’s first round against the Magic, we can see his role clearly defined. He’s been putting up 30 pieces all season long, including in the playoffs. Against the Magic, he put up a 35.3% usage rate, which bodes well for his scoring opportunities tonight. He’s currently putting up a 34.5% usage rate to lead all players in the postseason.
And finally, Cleveland’s defense has been leaky lately, posting an 114.1 DEFRTG in their last 10 games. Game 1 showed that Detroit can tilt the game towards Cade’s preferred playstyle as the aggressor, as evidenced by collecting 19 more free throw attempts than Cleveland. As long as this game stays close in the fourth, Cunningham’s volume is guaranteed.

With Luka Doncic still sidelined by the hamstring strain and openly uncertain about a return, the Lakers’ half-court offense keeps funneling back to LeBron as the primary shot creator. Even in Game 1’s 108–90 loss, LeBron still scored 27 points on 12/17 shooting, even with lower usage than normal. This is precisely what we want when the line is sitting at 21.5.
In round 1, James averaged 23.2 PPG vs Houston across six games and closed the series with 28 in Game 6, showing that JJ Redick is comfortable playing him big minutes now that we’re in the postseason. If the Lakers keep this competitive into the fourth, James should be able to soak up the extra usage available from Doncic’s absence to get to 21.5 without a huge night.

We already saw the role that Jenkins handled in Game 1, during which he scored 12 points in 29 minutes while shooting 5/13 from the field. He helps alleviates some pressure off Cade and provides some nice backup offense. Jenkins has cleared 9.5 points in his last two playoff games.
While his full-season scoring numbers are modest with just 9.3 PPG, his role will be heightened tonight especially during the minutes when Cunningham is on the bench.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
