Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.

Here are my top two home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday’s slate: Bobby Witt Jr. and George Springer.

Top MLB Home Run Props

Bobby Witt Jr. 1+ Home Run (+311)

No one is denying that it took Bobby Witt Jr. a looooooong time to hit his first home run of 2026. However, it didn’t take him too long after to knock out his second. Witt has a long ball in two of his past three games and will be looking to make it three of his last four on Thursday. He’ll get the benefit of facing the left-handed Jeffrey Springs, who has surrendered 11 earned runs and five home runs in his past two starts. It’s also worth pointing out that Witt has crushed LHPs this season, as he’s slashing a robust .407/.467/.741 with a .501 wOBA within the split.

Sutter Health Park needs a shoutout, too. Most pitchers do not like taking the mound in Sacramento, and Springs is no different. In fact, he’s surrendered 2.08 opponent long balls per nine his his home outings in 2026. Yikes.

George Springer 1+ Home Run (+486)

They say timing is everything in life. Look no further that George Springer, who returned to the Blue Jays on Wednesday after missing multiple weeks with a fractured toe. Obviously, Springer would want to get back in action as soon as possible for many reasons, though I do wonder if he had tonight’s pitching matchup circled on the calendar…

I’ll take BvP with a grain of salt, but this is sort of hilarious.

At the end of the day, Ober is an extreme fly ball pitcher with a second percentile average fastball velocity (88.8). I don’t think it’ll come as a shocking revelation that he’s often struggled to keep the ball in the yard throughout his career. Meanwhile, Springer hit 32 home runs in 2025 and his 166 wRC+ trailed only Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani among qualified bats. It’ll be interesting to see if his timing at the plate is in good order after his lengthy layoff, but at these odds, I’m willing to chance it.
