Yaroslav Amosov, former Bellator Champion, is coming off a successful UFC debut as he submitted Neil Magny. Amosov has a 29-1 record with 21 finishes in his career. Now, Amosov faces Alvarez, who has won four straight and is 8-1 in his previous nine contests.
Check out my best bet below for Joel Alvarez vs. Yaroslav Amosov at UFC 328.
Amosov trains at the legendary American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida. He competed in Bellator from 2018 to 2023, going 8-1-0 and winning two title fights. Although he is still new to the UFC, Amosov still possesses a ton of valuable experience.
Alvarez’s lone UFC loss came at the hands of Arman Tsarukyan in February 2022. But since then, Alvarez has been dominant, winning three of his last four fights by knockout or submission. This is a terrific matchup between two versatile fighters, with the winner likely receiving a ranking in the near future.
Amosov is a -185 favorite while Alvarez is the underdog at +154 on DraftKings Sportsbook. This contest has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over being -238.
Even though Alvarez has more UFC experience, Amosov is battle-tested, having faced many tough opponents throughout his career. Alvarez won his first fight by decision in his last contest. Although Alvarez is an excellent finisher, he could become frustrated if he doesn’t find success early in this contest. 11 of Amosov’s previous 12 victories have come by submission or decision. In the past, Alvarez has struggled against elite competition, and although Amosov has only fought once in the UFC, he has championship potential.
