Leon Shahbazyan, the brother of UFC fighter Edmen, is taking on Levan Chokheli at tonight’s Fight Night. Both fighters in this contest are making their UFC debut. Shahbazyan is 12-4 with 12 finishes, while Chokheli’s record stands at 14-3 with 11 knockouts.
Check out my best bet for Leon Shahbazyan vs. Levan Chokheli at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.
Shahbazyan had an opportunity at a UFC contract when he competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2019, but suffered a knockout loss to Phil Rowe. He had a hiatus from May 2023 to February 2025 but has since gone on a four-fight first-round submission streak competing in Tuff-N-Uff.
Chokheli fought in Bellator from 2021 to 2024, going 4-3 in seven bouts. He is 4-1 in his previous five contests and beat Alexandre Goncalves via second-round knockout in his last fight, which was in May 2025. On paper, Shahbazyan is four inches taller (6’4″ vs. 5’11”) with a two-inch reach advantage (74″ vs. 72″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Chokheli is a -355 favorite with Shahbazyan being the underdog at +280. This fight has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the under being -200 and the over being +154. In this matchup, it is a clash of styles: Chokheli has 11 career knockouts, and Shahbazyan has 11 submissions. Given Chokheli’s having more high-level experience, I think this matchup favors him. All four of Shahbazyan’s losses have come by knockout.
