Check out some of the top NHL player prop bets and picks for Saturday’s Stanley Cup Playoff slate.
There’s just one game on the Stanley Cup Playoffs slate this Saturday, but it’s a particularly exciting one as it officially means the second round gets underway. The Carolina Hurricanes are coming off a first-round sweep and look to carry their momentum into Game 1 against the Philadelphia Flyers, who pulled off an upset to advance this far. It’s a battle between offense and defense, at least to an extent, and there are plenty of prop bets to consider.
Below, we’ll take a look at the best NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the playoff action.

Perhaps the most surprising story from either of these teams’ playoff runs so far was the rise of Frederik Anderson, who put forth the worst regular season of his career but played like a man possessed in the first round. The veteran netminder logged an incredible .955 SV% with a 1.10 GAA over four games, allowing only five goals across that span. It was a stunning turnaround after an abysmal .874 SV% during the regular season, but we’ve seen Andersen elevate his game in the postseason before. He’s clearly hot at the moment, which bodes nicely for the over on tonight’s saves prop. The reason the line is so low at just 21.5 is because the Flyers were one of the lowest-volume attacks this year, but they should get enough attempts on net for Andersen to go over the prop in Game 1.
Do the Hurricanes have yet another young up-and-coming talent to watch for as part of this core? That may be the case if Logan Stankoven can keep producing like this. The 23-year-old was part of the return in the Mikko Rantanen trade last season and recorded nine points in his first 19 games with Carolina last season. This year, he notched 44 points (21G/23A) over the course of 81 appearances, certainly a career-best campaign for the former Dallas Star. This postseason has been a coming-out party of sorts as Stankoven currently leads his team in goals, potting four of them in four games. His 18 shots are also the most of any player on the roster and he’s finishing at an excellent 22.2% clip at that. It’s been a great postseason for Dan Vladar so far, but this Carolina offense may prove too much to handle and Stankoven is on fire.
