There have been 159 Game 7s in NBA playoff history, with 20 of those happening in the NBA Finals. The home team has won 117.
Well, we are getting number 160 after San Antonio easily beat Oklahoma City on Thursday, 118-91. The Spurs shot 47% from the floor and 37% from downtown while limiting the Thunder to 37% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. They were +8 in rebounds, +9 in assists, +4 in blocks, +8 in fastbreak points, +6 in points in the paint and led 99% of Game 6.
Now we head back to Oklahoma City, where the Thunder had the league’s best home record during the regular season at 34-7. During the playoffs, the Thunder are 6-1 at home.
San Antonio was 29-12 on the road during the regular season and 5-3 during the playoffs.
