(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Dylan Harper 15+ Points (-131): Harper has been a big part of the Spurs’ run this postseason, averaging 13.6 points per game in 22 games in the playoffs. He has at least 13 points in each game of the NBA Finals and has gone over this prop line with 15+ points in three of the four games. He has played 32+ minutes in each of the last three contests and had a series-high 21 points in Game 4. If the Spurs are able to force a Game 6 back in New York, they’ll need a big game from Harper in San Antonio in Game 5. The public is backing Harper in the most popular prop bet of the game, which is new for the rookie, since usually the most bet props are from superstars Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson.
Jalen Brunson 28+ Points (-112): Speaking of superstars, Brunson has been outstanding for the Knicks on their run to the brink of a championship, averaging a dominant 27.4 points per game in his 18 postseason contests. He started the NBA Finals with 30 points in 37 minutes in Game 1 against the Spurs and followed that up with 20 points in Game 2. He had 32 points in Game 3 and 36 points in Game 4, giving him an average of 29.5 points per game in the Finals. Brunson and the Knicks can close out the Spurs with a win in Game 5, and Brunson will be on the spot again to deliver the series-clinching win and secure the title.
Victor Wembanyama 1st Points Scorer (+280): Wemby, Harper, and the Spurs will be looking to slow down Brunson and force a Game 6, and the public is backing the big man to get on the scoreboard early. He has made the first bucket in five of his last 15 games. In Game 1, Brunson had the first basket, and Wembanyama answered right back with San Antonio’s first basket of the game. In Game 2, Devin Vassell had the first basket, and Wemby didn’t get on the board until almost five minutes into the game, when the score was 15-10. In Game 3, Wemby didn’t have the first shot but did get the first bucket of the game, and in Game 4, De’Aaron Fox scored the first points of the night after being fouled. The Knicks won the tip-off in Game 1, but Wemby and the Spurs have won the three tip-offs since then. On Saturday, he’ll look to be aggressive right away and carry his team, so it makes sense that he has a good chance to get on the board early with the first basket of the contest.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
