Bill Yin breaks down the opening odds for the FIFA 2026 World Cup Group G match between Belgium and Iran.
Belgium and Iran both opened the 2026 FIFA World Cup with draws, leaving Group G completely level entering the second round of matches.
Belgium played Egypt to a 1-1 draw in Seattle, falling behind in the first half before forcing an equalizer after Romelu Lukaku came off the bench in the second half. Iran also had to battle back in its opener, twice erasing deficits in a 2-2 draw against New Zealand in Los Angeles.
Belgium and Iran will meet Sunday, June 21 at 3 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. DraftKings Sportsbook has opening odds for the Group G matchup.
Belgium opens as a clear favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, sitting at -233 on the 90-minute Moneyline. Iran is +733 to pull off the upset, while the draw is +400.
The total is set at 2.5 goals, with the over priced at -133 and the under at -104. That fits a matchup where Belgium is expected to control more of the ball and create the better chances, but Iran already showed some resilience by answering twice against New Zealand.
Belgium can put itself back on track with a win after a frustrating opener, while Iran has a chance to make Group G much more interesting if it can take points from the favorite.
