Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for the Cruiserweight Championship contest between David Benavidez and Zurdo Ramirez.
Tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada, at T-Mobile Arena, David Benavidez and Zurdo Ramirez face off for the WBO and WBA Cruiserweight titles. Benavidez is the current WBC Light Heavyweight Champion and is moving up to 200 pounds for this contest.
Check out my best bet for tonight’s fight between David Benavidez vs. Zurdo Ramirez.
Zurdo has won four consecutive bouts, with his last one coming in June 2025 against Yuniel Dorticos. Benavidez scored a seventh-round knockout over Anthony Yarde in his previous fight in November 2025. Ramirez has the height (6’2.5″ vs. 6’0.5″) and reach (75″ vs. 74.5″) advantage in this contest.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Benavidez is a -550 favorite while Ramirez is a +400 underdog. The over/under is set at 10.5 rounds for this contest, with the over being -360. Benavidez is -150 to win by decision and +240 to pick up a knockout.
Although Benavidez is moving up for this bout, he is still the all-around better boxer. Ramirez struggled against his last opponent (Dmitrii Bivo), who was a top pound-for-pound boxer in the world.
On CompuBox, Benavidez has the third-best plus-minus in boxing (16.6) with the second-best total connect percentage (38.5%). Since he is the smaller fighter in this matchup, Benavidez needs to be the aggressor, and if he is, he should be able to get the best of Ramirez. Two of Benavidez’s last three wins have come by decision, and he could struggle to finish Zurdo.
