The team-based Zurich Classic of New Orleans will be played at TPC Louisiana (par 72, 7,425 yards, POA Trivialis greens). This has been the site of the Zurich Classic since 2015. In 2017, this tournament was converted from a standard stroke play event to a team event. There will be 74 two-man teams competing and a top-33 and ties cut after the first two rounds. The first and third rounds will be best ball format and the second and fourth rounds will be alternate shot. At last year’s Zurich Classic, Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak (-28) won by one shot.

Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Shane Lowry/Brooks Koepka to win (+1550)

Lowry and Koepka make a ton of sense as a pairing. Koepka has been elite with his irons this season, ranking second in SG APP, while Lowry has been strong with his flat stick, ranking 31st in SGP. Koepka is coming off a T12 finish a couple of weeks ago and has finished T18th or better in four of his last five starts. Lowry has made 6-of-8 cuts this season with two top-10 finishes.

This will be Lowry and Koepka’s first time competing together, but both have played well at the Zurich Classic in the past. Lowry has been excellent at this team event the last three years, finishing 13th, first and T12th, while Koepka has finished T5th, MC and T22nd in his last three starts at the Zurich Classic.

Combining their skills and prowess for TPC Louisiana, Lowry and Koepka are the best pick to win the Zurich Classic this week.

Keith Mitchell/Brandt Snedeker for a top-10 finish including ties (+230)

This will be Mitchell and Snedeker’s third time competing at the Zurich Classic together. They missed the cut in 2022, but in their debut as a team in 2021, they finished T4th. With both players in compelling form this time around, another high finish is within in reach for this squad.

Mitchell is on the heels of a missed cut at the Valero Texas Open, but he had made 12 straight cuts leading up to this, including five top-20 finishes. Mitchell ranks 12th in SGT2G and 18th in par five performance this season.

As for Snedeker, he started this season missing four straight cuts, but the nine-time PGA TOUR event-winner’s game has been revitalized recently, finishing T18th at the Valspar Championship and T39th at the Valero Texas Open in his last two starts. Snedeker has shot under par in six of these past eight rounds and he ranked 14th in SG APP at the Valero Texas Open.
