All 30 teams make up Friday’s 15-game MLB slate. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look today?
Ahead of Friday’s Major League Baseball contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.

If nothing else, the Rangers are one of the AL’s better pitching squads. While he’s taken a step back statistically, Nathan Eovaldi remains a force on the mound. Through 93.1 innings of work (15 starts), the right-hander has notched a 4.24 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 92 strikeouts (8.9 K/9). Surprisingly, the veteran has given up fewer runs on the road (4.11 ERA). Since 2025, he owns a respectable 76% NRFI rate. On the other side, the Blue Jays have been uninspiring at the plate. Their 23.46% YRFI rate is the sixth-worst mark in baseball this season. In addition, Toronto is averaging the 11th-fewest runs per game at home (4.11).
On the other side, it’ll be Patrick Corbin taking the hill against his former employer. After a successful 2025 campaign with the Rangers, he signed on with Toronto back in April. So far, the veteran has been a decent innings eater for the Blue Jays. Over 64.2 frames (14 starts), the southpaw has recorded a 4.73 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 47 strikeouts (6.5 K/9). Those numbers, while unimpressive, don’t matter too much for the sake of this bet. Texas is averaging just 4.01 runs per game, fourth-lowest in the majors. To boot, the Rangers own a dismal .213/.323/.338 slash line in the first inning against left-handed pitching. Corbin comes into Friday’s matchup on a six-game NRFI streak.
After a disappointing 6-3 loss on Thursday, the Yankees will turn to Will Warren tonight at Fenway Park. Despite some recent hiccups, the right-hander remains an above-average starter in New York’s stellar rotation. In 78.1 innings pitched (15 starts), he’s accounted for a 3.45 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 84 strikeouts (9.7 K/9). To boot, he’s posted a terrific 81% NRFI rate during the past two seasons. There’s a good chance Warren keeps rolling tonight against Boston’s feeble lineup. The Red Sox are last in runs per game (3.47) and YRFI rate (18.42%) at home.
The Red Sox will counter with a talented young hurler of their own in Payton Tolle. It’s been a terrific 2026 campaign for the rookie, in contention for an All-Star Game selection. Through 11 starts (64.1 IP), he’s delivered a 3.08 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 62 strikeouts (8.7 K/9). The Yankees usually hit left-handed pitching, but Tolle appears to be an exception. When he last faced New York in April, the 23-year-old tossed six innings of one-run ball with 11 strikeouts. Boston’s budding ace has an 81.8% NRFI rate this season. In comparison, the Pinstripes have scored 15 runs over their previous five contests. That’s the league’s second-worst mark during that stretch.
