After an exciting finish to the third major championship of the PGA TOUR season, the next tournament on the schedule is the final Signature Event of the season. The top golfers will head to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, for this week’s Travelers Championship.
The limited field of 72 golfers will play this no-cut event from Thursday to Sunday before the John Deere Classic and the Genesis Scottish Open set the stage for The Open Championship in just under a month.
Last year, Keegan Bradley won by one stroke over Russell Henley and Tommy Fleetwood in a thrilling Sunday finish. Fleetwood seemed to have the event under control before a +2 in the final round allowed Bradley to storm past him for his eighth PGA TOUR win.
The Signature Event will award a $20 million total purse, with $3.6 million going to the winner.
