Ryan Wohl details his best bet for Frank Sanchez vs. Richard Torrez Jr. which is taking place at today’s Glory in Giza boxing event.
An intriguing heavyweight matchup between Frank Sanchez and Richard Torrez Jr. is featured on today’s Glory in Giza boxing event. This event begins at 1:00 p.m. ET and is headlined by Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven for the WBC Heavyweight Championship.
Check out my best bet for Frank Sanchez vs. Richard Torrez Jr. at today’s Glory in Giza boxing event.
Torrez Jr. has an undefeated record of 14-0 with 12 wins by knockout. Although he has flown under the radar, Torrez, 26, is one of the rising stars in the Heavyweight division. Torrez beat Tomas Salek by first-round knockout in his previous bout in November 2025. Five of his last six victories have come by KO/TKO/DQ.
His opponent, Sanchez, has more experience as he is 25-1 with 18 knockouts. Sanchez is coming off a long layoff, as his last fight was in February 2025 when he beat Ramon Olivas Echeverria via third-round knockout. In his last big matchup, Sanchez lost to Agit Kabayel in May 2024.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Torrez Jr. is a -425 favorite with Sanchez being the underdog at +300. This fight’s over/under is set at 9.5 rounds, with the under at -125 and the over at -110.
Since both fighters have combined to produce 30 knockouts in their careers, it would be surprising if this contest went the distance. All 12 of Torrez’s victories have come in the first nine rounds, and Sanchez’s previous six fights have gone under 9.5 rounds. With that said, my favorite play in this fight is under 9.5 rounds at -125.
