Charlie Cummings shares his top DraftKings MLB DFS stud plays, values, and targets for Sunday’s slate on 5/10/26.

Welcome to my weekly Sunday DraftKings MLB DFS plays. I’ll break down some of the prime picks on the board, including studs and value plays, and break down why these players can lead your lineup to victory.

Top MLB DFS Targets

Pitcher Studs

SP Jose Soriano (LAA), $9,500: Jose Soriano has a strong case for being the top breakout star of 2026. Ratcheting up his four-seam fastball usage has played a big part in his impressive 1.74 ERA through eight starts. Soriano has the elite combination of a high strikeout rate and a lofty ground-ball rate; 81.2% of at-bats against the right-hander end in either. Toronto’s lineup has talent, but Soriano is matchup-proof while he’s this hot. He’s worth the high price.

Pitcher Value Plays

SP Nick Martinez (TB), $7,900: The Rays have done it again. Nick Martinez, a bit of a journeyman, is playing his best baseball in Tampa. The 35-year-old right-hander has a 1.71 ERA through seven starts, doing an outstanding job at avoiding hard contact. You won’t get big strikeout numbers, but he can go deep into games and has excellent potential against a struggling Red Sox lineup.

SP Peter Lambert (HOU), $7,300: Lambert is a big gamble here, considering his lack of quality major-league starts. But he has been solid with the Astros and twirled seven scoreless innings against the Dodgers in his last outing. Lambert squares up against a Reds team that has gone ice-cold, full of struggling hitters. It’s a good spot for him to deliver SP1 value at an SP2 price.

Infield Studs

C Adley Rutschman (BAL), $4,600: It’s always tough to find value at the catcher spot. But this stretch for Adley Rutschman makes it much easier to feel secure with your backstop. After Saturday’s game, Rutschman is up to a .318 average and a .966 OPS. In addition to the high batting average, he’s a great RBI threat and faces a rough A’s pitching staff on Sunday. He’s far and away the best catcher option, relative to his price.

3B Junior Caminero (TB), $5,200: Junior Caminero is at that point in the season where throwing a pitch in the zone against him gets you yelled at by a coach. Earlier in this series, Caminero received only two pitches in the zone during the entire game. This was one of them:

Not only is the home-run potential high, but Caminero brings a significant floor with the walks. That’s a great balance that makes him worth the price of admission.

Infield Value Plays

1B/OF Spencer Steer (CIN), $3,100: The Reds finally snapped their losing streak on Saturday, and Spencer Steer was once again a big part of the offense. He’s batting well over .300 in his last ten games, has swiped a couple of bags, and continues to provide strong power numbers. Steer does punch out a ton, but with no DFS scoring penalties for strikeouts, he can swing and miss all he wants when he’s not getting hits.

2B Travis Bazzana (CLE), $3,200: Is this guy something or is he something? Despite hitting only .200 in his first taste of MLB action, Bazzana is wreaking havoc on the basepaths. Bazzana has swiped six bags and scored seven runs in the first nine games of his career, making the most of his time on the bases. He has also shown poise at the plate, drawing seven walks compared to six strikeouts. He’s a tremendous value against a struggling Minnesota pitching staff.

SS J.P. Crawford (SEA), $3,100: Here’s another scorching hot infielder. Crawford’s season numbers don’t look great, but his recent play has been excellent. Over the past two weeks, Crawford has had an 11-to-5 BB/K ratio, along with five extra-base hits (three home runs) and nine runs scored. Not only is he hot, but he’s facing a White Sox staff full of problems. Crawford has tremendous value here and will let you spend some coin on established studs.

Outfield Studs

OF Jackson Chourio (MIL), $5,100: Jackson Chourio is finally back in the lineup, and he’s absolutely crushing. The 22-year-old is obliterating the ball in almost every at-bat, hitting the ground running after a long injury layoff. Facing Carlos Rodon, who is making his season debut, Chourio should have an opportunity to crush some balls out of the leadoff spot.

Outfield Value Plays

OF Jorge Soler (LAA), $3,400: Jorge Soler is awfully consistent. He strikes out a ton, doesn’t hit for average, and you sure don’t want to see him play the outfield. But the man can run into a baseball, having hit eight home runs already this season. On Sunday, Soler gets to face a soft-tossing southpaw, Eric Lauer, who has been tuned up for a 6.03 ERA this season. Lauer has an awfully hard time keeping the ball on the ground, and doesn’t miss many bats. Sounds like the sweet spot for Soler.

OF Michael Conforto (CHC), $2,800: Michael Conforto is a new man in Chicago. He started in a part-time role off the bench, but his bat got so hot that manager Craig Counsell couldn’t keep him on the bench anymore. Conforto’s Savant page is blood red; he’s drawing walks, making hard contact, and constantly hitting the sweet spot of the bat. Even against Jacob deGrom, Conforto is a must-start at this bottom-barrel price.
