Former World title challenger Jack Catterall is facing Shakhram Giyasov, who is undefeated, in a Welterweight contest at today’s boxing card. Catterall enters this fight with a 32-2 record and is coming off two straight victories, and last beat Ekow Essuman. Giyasov is 17-0 with 10 knockouts but hasn’t fought since April 2025.
Check out my best bet for Jack Catterall vs. Shakhram Giyasov at today’s Glory in Giza boxing event.
Catterall is 6-1 in his previous seven contests and has won two fights in a row since his last career loss to Arnold Barboza Jr. Although his last victory was by TKO, it was Catterall’s first win by finish since 2019. Giyasov’s last win came against Franco Ocampo in April 2025. In this fight, Giyasov is taller by two and a half inches (5’9.5″ vs. 5’7″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Catterall is a -230 favorite with Giyasov as a +180 underdog. The over/under is set at 10.5 rounds with the over being -700. Catterall is -150 to win this fight by decision or technical decision, and Giyasov is +300 to pick up the victory on the judges’ scorecards.
Although Catterall has two losses on his resume, he has fought plenty of top-tier opponents and has the edge in experience in this contest. This is a significant step up in competition for Giyasov. I think the longer this fight lasts, it favors Catterall, as he has been in close fights before, as 10 of his previous 12 have gone the distance.
