Fantasy Basketball Value Picks: Top DraftKings NBA DFS Ba...
Bryan Armett · 2026-05-02 · via DraftKings Network

Bryan Armetta breaks down Friday’s three-game featured NBA playoffs DFS slate to find two undervalued players to slot into your lineups.

Friday’s high-stakes, postseason NBA DFS slate has three different Game 6’s on tap. To start, the Magic will attempt to finish off the top-seeded Pistons at home. Elsewhere in the Eastern Conference, it’ll be the Raptors hosting the Cavaliers to stave off elimination. As a nightcap, the Rockets will continue their quest to come back from a 3-0 series deficit vs. the Lakers.

On this star-studded weekend slate, there’s more than enough big names worth consideration. However, every fantasy lineup needs a few value picks to balance out the roster. Which bargains deserve a closer look ahead of Friday’s playoff matchups?

SF/PF Rui Hachimura, Los Angeles Lakers at HOU ($4,900)

It was a difficult day for almost everyone on the Lakers in Game 5. That’s especially true on offense, where the team only scored 93 points on 42% shooting. Rui Hachimura wasn’t immune from those struggles, scoring just 12 points on five-of-11 shooting (19.5 FPTS). It’s not a nightmarish performance from the 27-year-old, but certainly below what he’s capable of. This postseason, the wing is averaging 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 51% from the field (25.1 FPTS). Those aren’t eye-popping numbers, but it’s not too shabby against a top-notch defensive club.

It’s worth mentioning that the Rockets are missing Steven Adams (ankle) and Kevin Durant (ankle). Without those two, the team has become much more vulnerable inside the paint. Hachimura, if nothing else, has been very consistent in the playoffs. He’s managed to record at least 12 points in each of his five outings against Houston while maintaining solid efficiency. The other counting numbers haven’t quite been there, but it’s a decent fantasy floor for the seventh-year pro. At less than $5,000, Hachimura offers some stability at a reasonable price.

C Jakob Poeltl, Toronto Raptors vs. CLE ($4,000)

The center position has been a constant source of uncertainty in Toronto this season. Between injuries and inconsistent performance, starter Jakob Poeltl has ceded minutes to rookie Collin Murray-Boyles ($5,700) down the stretch. That’s carried over into the postseason, where the latter has been relied upon heavily in crunch time. Still, there’s enough playing time to go around for both big men. Poeltl has had a mini-resurgence, notching 20+ fantasy points in each of his last three matchups.

On paper, the Cavaliers wield an intimidating defensive duo of Evan Mobley ($7,700) and Jarrett Allen ($5,500). However, the team hasn’t been the best inside the paint. Cleveland has allowed the 14th-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. Poeltl is coming off of his best game of the postseason, a 14-point, nine-rebound performance on the road. The Cavs have a rebounding rate of 48.2% in the playoffs, fourth-worst among all 16 teams. Poeltl, a glass-cleaning big, is someone that can take full advantage of that weakness. Should the veteran log at least 20 minutes, he can easily surpass his $4,000 price tag.
