We’ll be tipping off at 7 PM EST tonight with a trio of game threes. The Celtics will be in Philly at 7 PM EST, the Lakers will be in Houston at 8 PM , and the Spurs will be in Portland at 10:30 PM.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Maxey’s Game 2 was a thing of beauty, despite him struggling from the floor. He scored 29 points on 28 shots, an ugly endeavor that resulted in a much-coveted win on Boston’s home floor. Despite his inefficiency thus far this season – he’s shooting just 39.5% from the floor in two games – he’s held down this Philly offense as they await the return of The Process.
I’m expecting another heavy, heavy usage night for Maxey, who led the league this season in minutes per game at 38. He’s put tremendous mileage on his body for this team this season and he looks primed to continue jacking up shots with his green light. Philly needs him to score to have a chance in this series, and we can count on him to do so, even if it’s ugly and inefficient.

James has been turning back the clock this series with two back to back wins as the underdog team, going for a 19-13 double double with three turnovers in Game 1 and a 28-8-7 dissection of the Rockets in Game 2. Can we even say that he’s turning back the clock?
James has a long history of storied playoff efforts. We don’t need to go into that today, but with Austin Reaves potentially back in the picture, James figures to take a step back in the scoring department, but not by too much. He’s proven that he’s still capable of some big scoring nights when he needs to, and if JJ Redick is cautious with Reaves’ minutes in his first game back from injury, which seems likely, then James will have to handle a big workload once again. Stealing Game 3 from the Rockets tonight would almost surely stamp the Lakers’ odds of winning this series.

Has Luke Kennard been unbelievably hot? Yes. Will Houston prioritize defensive attention on Luke Kennard tonight? Also yes. Will he get to 13.5 anyway? Yes.
Kennard has poured in an incredible 50 points through the first two games of this series, despite only averaging 9 PPG this season for the Lakers. In fact, he’s a 9.6 PPG scorer throughout his NBA career, but he’s been an absolute sniper against the Rockets, going 8/13 and 9/13 in these two games while draining four treys per game. While I do expect Kennard to surpass 13.5 tonight, it would be foolish for Houston to not key in on him as a big issue for them. He’s been raining bombs down from outside while Houston has struggled spectacularly with their outside shot, a discrepancy that really hurts the Rockets’ chances of winning this series.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
