One of the breakout stars of the postseason so far, Logan Stankoven is shouldering a ton of the load for the Hurricanes. The 23-year-old forward was traded to Carolina as part of the Mikko Rantanen deal at the 2025 trade deadline, and he’s apparently blossoming with a full season under his belt in this system. He recorded a career-best 44 points in 81 games during the regular season, but now sits second on the roster with seven points in five playoff games. His six goals are a team high, as are his 23 shots on goal. Here’s the thing, too. Stankoven is playing aggressive hockey, notching at least three shots on goal in every playoff game with three performance of five or more pucks put on net. He’s awesome, proving with his 5-foot-8 frame that perhaps size doesn’t matter on the ice after all.
There are a lot of things you can say about Carter Hart, and his performance this postseason hasn’t exactly been the best to begin with. However, I do think that the matchup in Game 1 of the Golden Knights’ next series positions him to go over his saves prop tonight. Hart has an .891 SV% and 2.71 GAA through six games, recording over 24.5 saves in four of those contests which came against the Utah Mammoth. He can be a bit hot-and-cold, but again, we’re targeting this pick thanks to the environment and not only his own ability. The opposing Ducks are one of the NHL’s highest-volume teams in terms of shot attempts, averaging 32.3 per game in the playoffs, second most of the 16 squads that qualified for the postseason. The same Anaheim roster was third in SOG during the regular season with 30.8 per game, also ranking third in total 5v5 SAT. Expect the underdogs to put plenty of pucks on the net and get Hart over his prop line.
