Cooper Albers breaks down Monday’s Love Island USA episode, highlighting what happened after Zach and Kayda’s one-night stay at the Hideaway.
After a high-stakes weekend full of tension and turmoil, Love Island USA took a step back from the challenges, bombshells, and recouplings on Monday night. Instead, the episode centered on the islanders simply existing — mostly talking about nothing, but occasionally inching toward serious conflict in their relationships.
Here’s what happened next on Love Island USA as we provide a full breakdown of Monday night’s episode.
Monday’s episode picked up with Zach and Kayda booking their one-night stay at the elusive and highly sought-after Hideaway. And for the first time all season, Kayda got Zach away from his best mate, Bryce, and all to herself. From the hot tub to the private suite, the couple, let’s say, pushed the boundaries of what’s allowed to be shown on television.
Elsewhere, Caleb was seeing things after convincing himself he’d caught Kenzie and Corbin making out on the pier. What he actually witnessed was intense romantic tension, lap-sitting, perhaps the longest hug ever caught on Peacock. In hindsight, his imagination may have been doing him a favor. A conversation with Kenzie the next morning left Caleb thoroughly confused and open to exploring a few new connections.
The bizarre love triangle is also stalling Melanie’s experience; even after coupling up with Corbin, she still spends her nights solo in Soul Ties.
The next night, the season’s most secure couple, Aniya and KC, continued to navigate their sudden slump. Aniya feels like she’s not his first option, while KC believes he’s being punished for not exploring — while also pointing out that he wasn’t originally her first option, either. Their latest attempt to break the endless cycle ended in unexpressed emotions and even more uncertainty.
Sincere, meanwhile, refuses to live up to his own name. After informing Sol that he intended to clear up any lingering tension with Melanie — and quite literally raising a toast to “maturity, honesty, and growth” — he swayed his former connection to the speakeasy to reveal how much he misses her. That feeling appeared to be mutual.
The episode ended with Kenzie, furious that Corbin wouldn’t show her affection the night before, sneaking off with him for a passionate round of tonsil tag in the bedroom, away from the other islanders. Surely, this will end well.
Oh, and there’s a vote tomorrow.
