The MLB season is rolling along. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!
Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.
While the Mets continue to struggle, Juan Soto just gets hotter and hotter at the plate. Soto has been a top-five hitter in baseball this season. He missed a chunk of time with an injury, but he has been red hot since returning from that injury. Among batters with at least 140 at-bats, Soto ranks fifth in OPS and eighth in wRC+. He has been even better than that over the past 15 days. During that stretch, he is batting .347 with a 1.204 OPS. Soto hit a home run last night against Cincinnati and now has five home runs in his past six games. He should keep it rolling tonight against Andrew Abbott. Abbott has a 3.97 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP this season. That WHIP ranks 70th out of 76 eligible pitchers this season. Soto is also 5/11 in his career against Abbott. He should hit Abbott hard and generate an extra-base hit in this game.
It has been a good start to the season for Bryce Harper. He currently has a .900 OPS, the 15th-best mark in baseball. He hit a home run last night in San Diego and is hoping to keep that momentum going today. Harper is facing Walker Buehler to start, who is having another tough season. Buehler currently has a 5.05 ERA. He is giving up far too many hard-hit balls, allowing a home run in three of his past four games. Harper has hit Buehler hard in the past, even when he was in much better form. Harper is 4/6 in his career against Buehler, and all four hits have been for extra bases, including one home run. Buehler is allowing an .800 OPS to opposing left-handed hitters this season. Harper should expose that weakness once again and register another extra-base hit against Buehler while generating some runs.
This Casey Mize strikeout number is inflated because of the opponent he is facing today. The Angels have struck out more than any other team in baseball this season. However, that does not mean that Mize is going to get to six strikeouts in this game. Mize has never been a high-strikeout pitcher, and that remains the case this season. Over his past three starts, Mize’s strikeouts totals are four, four and three. Mize has gone under this number in five of his past seven starts. Mize has been slightly overperforming this season, with a 2.71 xERA compared to his 2.47 ERA. He does not give up a lot of hard contact, but teams should be scoring more runs based on the amount of contact that he does give up. Mize should stay on his current level or see a slight decline in performance, which makes it hard to see him boosting his strikeout numbers for this start.

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
