Everything You Need to Know Before From Episode 10 Season 4
Lots to break down, which should make for a loaded finale. Here’s a look at where the key players stand going into the finale:
- Jade and Tabitha – It’s about time! Not only did the group make its long-awaited move, Tabitha also finally got it together. She’s keen to the town’s (and maybe the Man in the Yellow Suit’s) emphasis on not just the “what” but also “how” something is done in this place. Of course, our key pair is in the tomb and has uncovered the bones, but the monsters are knocking. While I’m curious if the makeshift talisman setup will work, that’s almost not important anymore — it’s all about the uncovered bones now. We need to know what those can do.
- Clara – I don’t think we even knew Clara’s name before this episode, but she was the one ancillary character who’s been around forever and chiming in with some frequency. Bakta is probably the only other one who comes close to that, but she’s never raised any suspicion (not for me, at least). I previously thought Clara might be more like a Sophia/Man in Yellow situation, but it turns out she’s another human pawn. Although, this pawn may cause a lot of damage.
- Sophia – She is making a lot of moves. What’s most fascinating about her ordeal is after Season 4 Episode 8, it seemed like she (as the Man in Yellow) may want Tabitha and Jade to figure things out. That came through in Episode 9, as well, but she’s also still finding ways to wreak havoc.
- Elgin – Look. I know this dude has been through a lot. But come on, man. There are a lot of situations that, as viewers, we can ask “What are you doing?!” while losing sight of the fact that a character doesn’t know everything that we do. This is different. How do you have this new person in town, then clearly see a picture of them from years ago, which indicates that she was both in the town and not as young as everyone thinks, then just go straight to her with that info — as opposed to Boyd, Kenny or literally anyone else?! Especially when you’ve experienced in full the paranormal that surrounds this town! Tabitha is the show’s most infuriating character, but Elgin might be No. 2.
- Fatima – And just like that, she’s under attack again. I truly hope Fatima can fight back against whatever Sophia and Clara did to her with that poison, but I don’t feel great about this. It very much feels like Fatima is about to turn into one of the show’s original monsters — and I don’t think she’s going to be able to fight the instincts that take over.
- Henry – This guy is another massive problem. He’s fighting the hallucinations a bit better than I expected, I’ll give him that. Still think he’s going to cave and take out a few people. With Victor now in the jail cell after putting up a stink about the bottle tree (very sad scene), Henry’s anchor is unfortunately on a silver platter (assuming Henry can get into the cell).
- Boyd – He’s with the group at the tree. He sidelined Kenny for this plan one in case things go south, leaving the town with a prepared, back-up leader. This is the first time in Season 4 that I’ve wondered if Boyd might not make it to Season 5. I mean, he’s unraveled to a point where he needs Sara to serve as a voice of reason. And with Boyd also not wanting to sacrifice anyone for the sake of this plan, it’d also make a lot of sense if this was where he went down. But, it’s so hard to imagine him not being in From’s final season. Either way, I can’t imagine his situation improving much, even with Tabitha and Jade progressing in the manner that they have.
