Sean Barnard details his top same game parlay for the Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs NBA Playoffs Game 3.
The Thunder and Spurs split the opening two games of the Western Conference Finals in Oklahoma City, and the two heavyweights will travel to San Antonio for Game 3. This budding rivalry has been terrific thus far, in a series that seems to have the makings of going deep. But both sides will put forth their best effort Friday night as they look to take a 2-1 series lead.
Looking at the odds for Game 3, the Spurs enter as a narrow 1.5-point favorite with -125 Moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Thunder are +105 underdogs, with the game total set at 218.5 points.

The Oklahoma City Thunder traded for Jared McCain at the deadline, and he has made his impact felt already in this series. Through the first two games, McCain is averaging 9.5 points, four rebounds, and two assists in just 22 minutes per game. He has shot 4-for-12 from beyond the three-point arc and is coming off three made triples in Game 2. With Jalen Williams’ status uncertain for Friday, McCain could be in line for a bump in minutes. The Duke product has also been Oklahoma City’s schematic answer for when the Spurs have thrown double-teams at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. McCain’s ball-handling and catch-and-shoot ability help open up additional offensive options, and he has done an excellent job relocating off the ball to create shot opportunities. McCain has knocked down three or more threes in four of his past six postseason games; expect his skillset to be leaned on heavily in Game 3.
The Spurs have some significant concerns with the health of their backcourt. De’Aaron Fox has missed the opening two games due to an ankle injury, and Dylan Harper left the previous game due to adductor soreness. Both are listed as questionable for Friday. This has left Stephon Castle with a massive workload as the only primary ball-handler. Through the first two games in this series, he has tallied 34 and 38 combined points, rebounds, and assists. The UConn product has scaled up his workload in the postseason even when the other two guards have been on the floor, posting averages of 20.1 points, 6.6 assists, and five rebounds across the playoffs. While his turnovers have been an issue — with 20 through the first two games — San Antonio will need Castle to continue orchestrating the offense. Thirty or more PRA is a comfortable bar that he has cleared in both games thus far, and he should follow suit at home in Game 3.
Another Spurs player who should scale up his role with the injuries in mind is Keldon Johnson. While players like Devin Vassell and Julian Champagnie will likely be looked to first, both guys are at their best when serving as catch-and-shooters. Not having enough reliable creators to generate their shots could negatively impact them on Friday night. Johnson possesses a bit more self-creation and has a bulldog mentality that feeds off the home crowd. Across the regular season, the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year averaged 13.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. Since the playoffs kicked off, his production has slipped to 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. While he has been held to 13 and 16 combined PRA in the opening two games against the Thunder, expect Johnson to feed off the intensity of the home crowd and make some momentum-swinging plays. He has been a vital part of this Spurs team all season, and they will need him to step up in Game 3. Back Johnson to step up and record 17-plus combined points, rebounds, and assists for the first time this series.
There are so many impact role players on this Thunder roster that Cason Wallace sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. But the Kentucky product averaged 1.3 made threes per game across the regular season, despite shooting a career-worst 35.1% from beyond the arc. Since the playoffs kicked off, he has been knocking down 48.6% of his perimeter shots, averaging 1.8 treys per game. Wallace enters this matchup after shooting 4-for-6 from the perimeter in Game 2, and he shot 2-for-5 from downtown in Game 1. He has drained multiple threes in six of his past eight games, and will also be in line for some expanded minutes if Jalen Williams is sidelined. Oklahoma City has made it a priority to space the floor and launch from deep in an effort to limit Victor Wembanyama’s impact as a shot-blocker. Expect Wallace to pull his weight and knock down a pair of three-pointers in the third time this series.
