(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+249): Murakami has been riding a power surge and is taking on the pitcher who allowed more home runs than any other pitcher in the majors last season. The White Sox slugger is up to 11 homers for the season and has gone yard in six of his last seven games. He has a remarkable 79.3% hard-hit rate with a 34.5% barrel rate over his last 13 games and has multiple hard-hit balls in three of his last four games. He’ll match up against Jake Irvin of the Nationals.
Last year, Irvin gave up 38 homers in 33 starts, including 26 to left-handed hitters like Murakami, who had a .384 wOBA against him. This year, Irvin has already given up four homers in 24 innings over five starts, including three to lefties like Murakami. The matchup and his form put him in a great spot on Saturday, and the public is backing the 26-year-old lefty.
Aaron Judge 1+ Home Run (+217): Judge hammered his ninth homer of the season last Sunday against the Royals, but has not gone yard in his four games since then against the Red Sox and Astros. The public thinks he’ll get back on track on Saturday night, though, as he faces Mike Burrows in Houston. Judge has a 50% hard-hit rate in his four games since his last homer, but hasn’t had a barrel. Burrows has done a good job limiting hard contact with just a 35.6% hard-hit rate against him, but he has given up 20 runs on 36 hits in 26 2/3 innings (6.75 ERA). He has given up five homers, and even though lefties have done most of the damage so far, Judge is a strong play to consider since he seems overdue to put another dinger on the board this Saturday.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+176): Whenever the Dodgers play, Ohtani is near the top of the popular props page. Ohtani hasn’t homered in 11 games and is hitting only .171 during that span despite a 48.3% hard-hit rate and four barrels. He and the Dodgers will look to get on track and stop the Cubs’ ten-game winning streak on Saturday night as they face Colin Rea. Ohtani has gone 2-for-8 against Rea in the past, and both of those hits were home runs. Rea has given up two homers this year in his 24 innings, but Ohtani will be looking to get the Dodgers’ offense going by taking one out of Dodger Stadium on Saturday night.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
