The Eastern Conference Finals continue on Monday evening with the series now knotted at one game apiece. This time, the Montreal Canadiens will take home ice at the Bell Centre in front of a passionate fanbase as they host the Carolina Hurricanes, who prevailed in overtime last time out. The margins in the underlying metrics have been pretty thin through the first two games, so this should be a close contest between quality sides tonight.
We’re looking towards tonight’s schedule for the best anytime goal scorer picks on DraftKings Sportsbook. Follow along for betting insights, predictions and best bets for who’ll find the back of the net this evening.

Up-and-coming young Russian Ivan Demidov just notched 62 points in his first full season of NHL competition, scoring 19 goals in 82 games. He didn’t post impressive shot volume with just 127 in the regular season, just over 1.5 per game, but he was a pretty effective finisher with a shooting percentage of 15.0%. Come Stanley Cup Playoff time, he didn’t score a single goal across the first 11 games despite seeing plenty of time on ice. Perhaps he just needed a while to adjust to the physicality of the postseason, because in five outings since, he’s scored three goals with 14 pucks put on the net. Demidov is looking far more active as of late and is now tied for third on the Canadiens with 33 shots on goal this postseason. With a shooting percentage of 9.1%, there’s some room for improvement on that mark. I like him to score a goal in Game 3 tonight, especially with +290 odds.
At some point, Andrei Svechnikov has to find the back of the net again. The Russian put another three shots on goal last game but failed to pot a shot, bringing his total volume to 31 shots on goal this postseason with only one goal to show for it. That shooting percentage comes out to a miserable 3.2%, which cannot last much longer. He’s playing over 18 minutes a night and has the second-most shot attempts of any Carolina skater, so things feel like they should even out eventually. He also has at least three shots on goal in six of his 10 games in this playoff run, so he gets pretty stable production in that regard as well. After lighting the lamp a career-high 31 times in the regular season and bringing 13 goals in 22 career games against Montreal, maybe Svechnikov can start to heat up tonight.
