Today’s slate features a full schedule of games, highlighted by Merrill Kelly making his season debut, Aaron Nola looking to find consistency early in the year, and Framber Valdez aiming to bounce back after his toughest outing of the season.
Kelly will make his first start of 2026 after being reinstated from the 15-day IL with a back injury. He’ll oppose Rogers, who continues to dominate with a 1.89 ERA and an xERA of 2.36 through three starts and 19 innings.
Rea was solid in his first start of the season, holding the Rays to just one run on two hits through five innings. He’ll face Nola, who has seen mixed results in his first three starts.
Ragans has already been tagged with three losses in his first three starts. He’s posted a 5.91 ERA with an xERA of 4.36. Valdez is coming off his worst start of the season after the Twins roughed him up for eight runs on 10 hits through five innings.
Ray has logged back-to-back starts with seven strikeouts against two good offenses in the Mets and Phillies. He’ll take on Singer, who, despite a K/9 of 10, has a 7.71 ERA with an xERA of 7.64 through 11.2 innings.
Mikolas has been a disaster to start the season, posting a 12.41 ERA with an xERA of 6.68 and an insane 3.6 HR/9 through 12.1 innings. He’ll oppose Keller, who has allowed just two runs through 18 innings with 11 strikeouts.
Detmers is due for some positive regression, as his ERA of 4.60 looks bloated next to his xERA of 2.50. He’ll face Weathers, who has been the opposite with a 2.81 ERA and an xERA of 5.06.
After walking 20 batters through 64.2 innings last season, Meyer has already issued eight free passes through 14.2 innings. Lopez looks to make it four straight starts allowing no more than one earned run after facing the Angels, Diamondbacks and Royals.
Gray shut out the Brewers his last time out, but his strikeouts continue to be extremely low, logging just a 5.5 K/9. He’ll face Abel, who has a 6.08 ERA with an xERA of 7.08.
McClanahan is struggling with his command but still inducing strikeouts with a 9.3 K/9. He’ll face the White Sox top prospect Schultz, who is being called up for his major league debut.
Gausman is generating a ton of swings-and-misses at a 17% rate, giving him a 13.5 K/9. He’ll face Misiorowski, who already has a 15.4 K/9 through 16.1 innings and three starts.
Cantillo has been great in three starts, posting a 2.45 ERA with an xERA of 2.37 and a 12.2 K/9. He’ll face McGreevey, who’s luck is going to end very soon. His 2.16 ERA is nowhere near the xERA of 5.63.
Lorenzen is already facing the Astros for the second time, after holding them to one run on seven hits through 5.2 innings.
Woo has been as good as advertised, as his 1.50 ERA comes with an xERA of 1.95 with an 8.5 K/9.
Gore has gotten off to a great start and already has amassed a 13.7 K/9 through 16.1 innings. He’ll face Springs, who has yet to allow a home run through three starts and 18.1 innings.
McLean is in for his toughest start yet, as he’s yet to allow more than two runs in his first three starts. He’ll face Yamamoto, who has gone six innings in all three of his starts thus far.
