Sean Barnard details his top same game parlay for the San Antonio Spurs at Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Playoffs Game 3.
The Spurs and Timberwolves split their opening two matchups in San Antonio, and the action will travel to Minnesota for Game 3 Friday night. It has been a tale of two games to this point, with the Timberwolves showing no fear and going toe-to-toe with the Spurs in Game 1. But San Antonio flipped the script in the second matchup, cruising to a blowout victory in which both teams benefited from some additional rest.
The Spurs enter as 4.5-point favorites with -205 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Timberwolves are +170 underdogs, with the game total set at 216.5 points.

On Friday, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering an amazing 30% profit boost promotion for the NBA Playoffs. Opt in and create a same-game parlay (SGP) for this tilt between the Knicks and the 76ers with your single-use Profit Boost Token. The only catch? The parlay must be at least four legs with odds of at least +300 or longer. Seems simple enough, right? So simple, I think I’ll whip one up right now.

While he is still officially listed as questionable for Friday’s matchup, Anthony Edwards suited up for the opening two games of this series and looked healthier than seemed realistically possible. Edwards is at the heart of the Timberwolves production, and he averaged 28.8 points, five rebounds, and 3.7 assists across the regular season. The four-time All-Star was limited to 18 and 12 points across the first two games in this series, while playing on a minutes restriction. But the Game 2 blowout provided an opportunity for some additional rest for Edwards, and he will return to the home crowd on Friday. He is not the full version of himself, but should begin to see his minutes creep up, and has largely passed the eye test as far as his health goes. Edwards scored 20-plus points in 50 of his 61 games this season, and this is a low enough bar that I am still comfortable with him clearing it.
It has not been an ideal start for Victor Wembanyama in the series. While he remains a game-changing defensive talent, he has yet to assert himself as a scorer. Wembanyama averaged 25 points per game across the regular season, but has been limited to 19 and 11 points across the opening two games in this series. Rudy Gobert can match his physical skillset more than most in the league, and the fellow Defensive Player of the Year is taking away more of his lob opportunities than just about any other player in the league is capable of. Especially with more favorable matchups at the guard position, expect Wembanyama to be willing to take a backseat as a scorer and for most of his impact to be felt on the defensive end. Count on the 25.5-point line being too high, with the Spurs star failing to clear it for the third straight game in this series.
De’Aaron Fox has largely been seen as the veteran presence on this youthful Spurs team. But Fox has had his own struggles under the playoff microscope thus far. Across the regular season, the two-time All-Star averaged 18.6 points and 6.2 assists across the regular season, recording six or more assists in 40 of his 72 games played. Since the playoffs began, Fox has averaged 18.1 points and six assists. He was limited to 10 points and turned the ball over six times in the opening matchup, and tallied just 16 points and two assists in the previous game. However, he has recorded six or more assists in five of his seven postseason games. He should continue to be the lead decision-maker for the offensive attack. Expect San Antonio to need his experience to run the offense and to lean on him heavily in this matchup. Six assists is a comfortable bar to clear for the floor general; back Fox to reach this margin for the sixth time this postseason.
It has been an impressive rookie season for Dylan Harper, who is showing no fear of the weight of the playoff atmosphere. The Rutgers product played 22.6 minutes per game across the regular season, averaging 11.8 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.4 rebounds. Since the postseason began, his role has expanded to 25.6 minutes per game, and he is averaging 13.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. He tallied 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists in Game 1 of this series before recording 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in Game 2. Harper also dropped 27 points and 10 rebounds in Game 3 against the Trail Blazers and has tallied over 17.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists in four of his past five games. This is a matchup that plays to his favor, and Harper has looked unbothered by the increased playoff intensity. Count on the rookie to continue making a major impact in the box score and record over 17.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists for the third straight game.
