Zach Thompson dives into Friday night’s 12-game MLB slate to find three value options for your DraftKings lineups.
All 30 MLB teams are in action this Friday to get the long weekend off to a great start. After three early games, 24 teams are on the DFS fantasy baseball main slate, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. ET. With a wide variety of players and price points on the board, finding the right MLB DFS Value Picks can help stretch your salary cap as you assemble your squad. In this post, we’ll examine my top three MLB DFS Value Picks, who bring good upside at their low salaries.
The weather could cause some issues with rain in the forecast early in Baltimore and Atlanta. The winds will be blowing mostly in at the ballparks in New York, Boston, and Kansas City. Offense-helping winds show up later in the evening, with Anaheim and San Francisco forecast for winds blowing out.
Let’s dive in and take a look at a few of the best value plays from the 24 teams in the player pool this Friday night.

The probable pitchers on Friday night include some proven options and a few exciting young arms as well. In a matchup of promising young rookie lefties, Prielipp and his Twins will take on Payton Tolle ($8,900) and the Red Sox.
The 25-year-old lefty has only allowed eight earned runs in 25 innings with 29 strikeouts and just a 0.96 WHIP. He only has one win, but his solid 2.88 ERA shows he has suffered from a lack of run support. He is coming off a season-high 24.5 FPTS in his last start against the Brewers. He went a season-high six innings and also set a personal best with eight strikeouts.
He has an unsustainable .190 BABIP against him, but even with some potential regression, he’s in a good enough spot against the Red Sox to be a top option in Friday’s MLB DFS value picks. No team has scored fewer runs over the last two weeks than the Red Sox, totaling just 28 runs (2.5 runs per game) while hitting .253 as a team. They are a favorable matchup to target for Prielipp this Friday, and he’ll be an outstanding value if he can approach 20 FPTS as he has in three of his last four starts.
The Rangers are one of the best value stacks on the board this Friday, and Foscue could be one of the best values on the board. He can slot in on either spot on the right side of the infield, depending on who else you’re targeting. Foscue has hit second in the order in each of the last two games for Texas, producing 11 FPTS in each contest. He had 30 FPTS in the game before that, when he connected on his second homer of the year as part of his 3-for-3 performance.
Foscue should continue to get playing time with Corey Seager (back) and Josh Smith (thigh/wrist/illness) on the injured list and Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) also ailing. Over his last 10 games, Foscue is hitting .344 (11-fo-32) with three doubles, two homers, a .423 wOBA, a 62.5% hard-hit rate and a 16.7% barrel rate.
Foscue was a first-round pick in the 2020 MLB Draft but hasn’t been able to make an impact in two previous trips to the majors. He was the team’s No. 15 prospect in 2025, hitting 19 homers in Triple-A, and he may be ready to show his upside in the majors. He has a good matchup against Grayson Rodriguez ($6,900), who is still just working his way back from multiple arm injuries and struggled in his first start of the season last week.
Wisdom looks like a smart pick in today’s MLB DFS value picks since he should be in the heart of the Mariners lineup against struggling southpaw Noah Cameron ($6,800). Wisdom made, his MLB debut in 2018 with the Cardinals and lpayed for the Rangers and Cubs before heading overseas to the KBO in 2025. In his 119 games for the Kia Tigers, he hit 35 homers while posting a .236 batting average and .376 wOBA.
Before his promotion this week, Wisdom was also lighting up Triple-A. In 23 games with Tacoma, the veteran hit 12 homers with a .276 batting average and .480 wOBA. While he is just 1-for-8 with a double and two RBI since his promotion, he has hit every one of his five balls at play over 95 mph, meaning he has a 100% hrd-hit rate to go with a 20% barrel rate. His average exit velocity is 101.2 mph, which is extremely high and shows off his high ceiling if his smashes start dropping for hits or if they can get out of Kauffman Stadium this weekend. Wisdom is barely over the minimum salary but brings a very high power ceiling in Friday’s matchup.
