Major League Baseball starts another great week of action with six games on Monday night’s schedule. The action starts at 6:10 p.m. ET in Cleveland with a non-divisional series between the Angels and Guardians, and it includes four divisional matchups. While there are some solid pitchers on the bump, there are also a few places that profile as strong places for offense. In this post, we’ll look at a few of the best matchups to attack on Monday for MLB DFS stacks.

Before we get to the individual selections for these contests, let’s define exactly what we’re searching for. An ideal target for MLB DFS stacks is a team well-positioned to score plenty of runs based on its matchup and ballpark. “Stacking” is the strategy of adding multiple players from the same MLB lineup to your roster to boost each other’s production.

Ideally, MLB DFS stacks focus on players who are either back-to-back or from the same part of the lineup to allow positive correlation. Since most run-scoring plays produce fantasy points for multiple players, stacking a high-scoring team can carry your entry to the top of the leaderboard. The key to MLB DFS stacks paying off is finding the perfect matchup to attack, so let’s take a look at the top spots.

1. New York Yankees

Aaron Judge ($6,500)
Ben Rice ($6,000)

The Yankees are on the road in Baltimore after dropping three straight in Milwaukee over the weekend. They’ll look to bounce back against the O’s, who they just lit up for 39 runs in four games at the beginning of the month. They didn’t face Brandon Young ($8,000) in that series, but they’ll take on the 27-year-old righty on Monday night. Young has a 4.35 ERA and 4.81 FIP, but he has been shelled at home, giving up 13 runs (seven earned) in 9 2/3 innings and serving up three homers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Lefties had two of those homers at home while hitting .421 with a .534 wOBA against him. Part of that is due to a small sample size, but the Yankees will look to continue the early trend.

Rice, Bellinger, McMahon and Jones are all lefties that bring good power potential. Judge is also a strong place to start a stack almost any time, since he brings so much power potential regardless of the matchup. Judge has 16 homers on the season and four in his last 10 games, while averaging 12.5 FPTS per game over that stretch. He has an incredible history of smashing in Baltimore against the Orioles and almost always delivers at his hefty salary.

Bellinger is 16-for-36 (.444) over his last 10 games with six doubles, two homers and 15 FPTS per game. Rice has raked whenever he’s in the starting lineup this year, and McMahon and Jones are great value options to round out the stack. Jones was just called up before the three-game set in Milwaukee and went 1-for-9 (.111) with just 2.3 FPTS per game. However, he showed an extremely high ceiling at Triple-A before his promotion, with 11 homers and seven stolen bases in 33 games. He has a high strikeout rate but also a high ceiling, so he can be a bargain flier to round out your Yankees stack Monday.

2. Cleveland Guardians

The Guardians dropped two of three games to the Twins over the weekend but will continue their homestand against the Angels. On Monday, they’ll face lefty Brent Suter ($4,000) as the opener and righty Alek Manoah ($6,700) as the bulk reliever. Suter has a 4.03 ERA and 4.23 FIP in his 22 1/3 innings, but he has only made one start that didn’t go well against the Yankees. Manoah just returned to the majors and needed just 11 pitches to get through a clean inning against the Blue Jays last week. Manoah has been boom-or-bust since his 16-win season in 2022 and has struggled with injuries and control issues.

The Guardians could slide Martinez up to second in the lineup against the lefty opener, and the switch-hitter brings good power and speed potential. He is hitting .250 with five homers, five stolen bases and a .311 wOBA on the season. Four of those five homers have been against lefties. Ramirez remains the heart of the offense and also brings power and speed potential. He has six homers and 16 stolen bases for an average of 9.1 FPTS per game on the season, and he’s been especially aggressive on the bases with double-digit FPTS in four of his last five games, fueld by three stolen bases.

Rookie Travis Bazzana is a solid value play after getting his first MLB homer on Friday and posting at least 7 FPTS in each of his last four games. He already has five stolen bases in his 11 MLB games and can find ways to cause havoc from the lower part of the lineup. The Guardians also added Patrick Bailey over the weekend, and the switch-hitting catcher will hope a new setting can jumpstart his bat. He’s much more of a contributor on defense, but he can be a decent punt play with upside if you’re stacking Guardians and expecting a big game for the offense.
