Griffin Wong breaks down the lineups for today’s World Cup Group L game between England and Ghana.
In recent seasons, England has come so close but so far from winning its first major international trophy since the 1966 World Cup on home soil. The Three Lions lost the Euro 2021 final and finished fourth in the 2018 World Cup, and they’re expected to be contenders again this tournament. While other contenders floundered in their opening matches, England set the tone by putting consistent pressure on Croatia’s goal in a 4-2 win.
Now, the Three Lions will have a chance to secure advancement to the knockout stages if they can beat Ghana at 4 p.m. ET in Boston.
Both teams’ lineups are now set. Thomas Tuchel has announced the 11 men who will represent England, while Carlos Queiroz has done the same for the Black Stars.
The Three Lions are -550 favorites to take all three points at DraftKings Sportsbook, and Ghana is +1500. There are +650 odds that the teams will draw.
