Check out my best bet for Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Alem Begic at today’s Glory in Giza boxing event.
At 26, Hamzah Sheeraz is one of the best young boxers in the world. This is his second opportunity at a world title after having a draw against Carlos Adames in February 2025. 18 of Sheeraz’s 22 wins have come by knockout, and his last 16 victories have been by KO/TKO. Sheeraz’s last victory on the judges’ scorecards came in December 2018.
Begic hasn’t fought since April 2025, and this will only be his third fight in the last 20 months. Although he has been inactive, Begic has been productive in each outing. Begic has faced talented opponents in the past, but none on the level of Hamzah Sheeraz.
Like Uysk, Sheeraz is a massive -2500 favorite with Begic being a +1100 underdog in this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook. This fight’s over/under is set at 5.5 rounds with the over at -110 and the under at -125. Sheeraz is -550 to win by KO/TKO/DQ and +425 to win by decision.
Sheeraz is four and a half inches taller (6’3″ vs. 5’11.5″) and should be able to leverage his size to his advantage. Seven of Sheeraz’s previous eight victories have come in Rounds 1-6. With Sheeraz’s power and quickness, he should be able to finish Begic in the first half of the fight.
