AEW Dynamite preview for May 6, 2026, featuring Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight, Jon Moxley in action, and more matches.

AEW Dynamite takes place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in North Charleston, South Carolina, at the North Charleston Coliseum. It’s a special edition this week, as it’ll run for three hours and be a joint Dynamite and Collision broadcast. The AEW World Championship will once again be on the line, as Darby Allin will take on the current TNT Champion, Kevin Knight. Check out what else is scheduled for this live 3-hour special!

We’ll have all the latest updates right here on DraftKings Network as additional matches and segments are announced for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from North Charleston, South Carolina.

Below is our full AEW Dynamite preview for May 6, 2026, including the confirmed match card and predictions.

AEW Dynamite Preview & Match Card for May 6, 2026

Here’s a look at what’s on tap for tonight’s AEW Dynamite in North Charleston! Tickets for this event are currently available through Ticketmaster!

Darby Allin (c) vs. Kevin Knight – AEW World Championship Match

Knight is coming off one hell of a week. After MJF tried to use his Dynamite Diamond Ring to take out Knight, the TNT Champion delivered a low blow behind the ref’s back to steal a victory over MJF. He followed that victory up with another title defense win over HOOK on Collision! He has all the momentum in the world now heading into this title match against Darby Allin, who defeated Brody King last week.

In last week’s AEW Dynamite preview, I had Knight beating MJF but doing so by DQ. While I was half right in that thought, I think we’ll see something similar in this match. I feel as if there’s no way MJF doesn’t get involved in this match somehow, leading to a DQ win for one of these men. Both men are on a hot streak right now; it would feel abrupt to hand one a loss. Of course, Knight is the most likely to take the pin if we were to get a clean finish. Funny enough, the last time Allin lost a single match was against Knight during the Continental Classic back on November 26, 2025. Since then, Allin has won 11 straight singles matches, including his last three as AEW World Champion.

This feels like a spot where we’ll set up what’s next for the AEW World Championship. I expect MJF to be involved, and a DQ finish leads to a Knight vs. MJF for the number one contender match or something along those lines.

Darby Allin (c) vs. Kevin Knight: Darby Allin retains the AEW World Championship by DQ

Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood – Double Jeopardy Match

This match came about after the Conglomeration earned a victory over MxM TV on Collision. After the match concluded, we learned that Cassidy and Harwood would battle in a Double Jeopardy match. If Cassidy wins, he’ll face FTR with a partner for the AEW Tag Team Championship. If Harwood wins, he, Cash Wheeler, and Tommaso Ciampa would challenge The Conglomeration for the AEW Trios Championship at a future date.

I think Harwood will take the victory in this one. With such a high-stakes match coming up at Double or Nothing against Cope & Christian, keeping FTR as strong as possible is the right move. I’m also very intrigued about the prospect of FTR teaming up with Ciampa. I think they would be excellent as a Trios and would add a real legitimate force to that division if (and when) they drop the tag titles.

Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood Prediction: Dax Harwood

Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson – AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match

If Robinson is able to earn the victory against Moxley, he’ll guarantee himself a shot at the AEW Continental Championship.

The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Ace Austin) scored a victory over The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia) on Collision, setting up this Eliminator match. After Robinson pinned Yuta, Robinson gestured toward Moxley’s title, as he was at ringside. After he agreed, this match was scheduled for Wednesday’s Dynamite. When these two meet, it’ll only be the second singles match for Robinson in 2026, after he was defeated by Tommaso Ciampa last month. If Robinson were to win, it would be his first singles victory since August 2025, when he defeated Bryan Keith on an episode of Collision. That being said, Moxley has yet to lose an Eliminator match for his AEW Continental Championship. He’s gone 8-0 in these matches, with his most recent victory coming against Nick Wayne.

I think on this episode of AEW Dynamite, we’ll see Moxley go 9-0 in these Continental Championship Eliminator matches.

Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson Prediction: Jon Moxley stays perfect in Continental Championship Eliminator matches

Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander – Tag Team Match

This feels like a match to set up a feud between Shida and Statlander. Tension is high between those two after they failed to capture the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship in their match against Divine Dominion. Had Shida and Statlander won, Stat would have been the first AEW Women’s Triple Crown winner in history. She took great exception to that and pinned the loss on Shida. After a backstage confrontation between the two, Shida vowed to get back on track on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

With that in mind, I firmly believe Shida will take the pin and send Statlander into a tizzy. With Double or Nothing looming, this would be an easy way to tee these two up for a match. Statlander hasn’t had much of a path after losing the AEW Women’s Championship, so this would be great to start her journey back up again.

Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander Prediction: Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron win
