There will be two Game 3’s tonight, with the Knicks visiting the 76ers at 7 PM EST and the Spurs visiting the Timberwolves at 9:30 PM.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
With Joel Embiid out for Game 2, Maxey put up a staggering 23 shots on 39.1% shooting from the field. The shooting was hideous in a narrow six point loss to the Knicks, but New York hounded Maxey and forced him into tough shots all night.
As Philadelphia heads home to host Game 3, I’m banking on Maxey once again taking a ton of shots to keep Philly’s offense afloat. Tonight’s line of 25.5 is below his Game 2 output of 26 points, and if Maxey sniffs 20 shots again tonight, it’s almost certain that he’ll at least match or exceed the 26 he put up last game. It’s a pivotal Game 3 and the Sixers desperately need a win to stay alive; going down 0-3 would likely mean the end of their season.

This line is basically asking Fox to beat the way this series has been played so far. In Game 1, San Antonio’s two stars combined for 21 points, with Wembanyama going for 11 and Fox for 10. Minnesota’s physical, Gobert-anchored defense kept the Spurs’ guards from living in the paint. Game 2 was the same story, just with the Spurs winning by 38. Despite the massive margin of victory, Fox finished with only 16 points, although he wasn’t even needed late because San Antonio had seven guys in double figures and the fourth quarter turned into a blowout. Fox’s season average is 18.6 PPG, but the best version of the Spurs’ offense looks like a shared offense rather than Fox hunting for 20+ shots like Maxey. If the Spurs keep winning with depth and defense, it’s unlikely we’ll see massive point totals for Fox.

Wemby pulled down 15 rebounds in each of the first two games of this series, including Game 1 where his shot abandoned him but the glass never did. He’s been a strong rebounder all season: Wembanyama averaged 11.5 RPG in the regular season, so 13+ is an optimistic but very possible outcome when the minutes increase in the playoffs.
Minnesota isn’t a soft rebounding opponent, though, allowing just 43.74 opponent RPG this season, but that cuts both ways: they play physical, they miss enough tough shots in a Gobert-led series, and those are precisely the games where a rim protector can stack defensive boards without needing a bunch of offensive rebounds. If this game is close and Wemby is in the 38 to 42 minute band, 13 boards is simply a matter of playing time.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
